POPS#Permaculture: A few references on the topic I've added a new #Permaculture section to my FullCircles Bookshoppe. And, after searching amplify on the subject this morning, I recommended Amplify (http://amplify.com/search.php?q=permaculture&type=search) to a local gardening group in answer to a question on the subject.

POPSOutfitting your business for FREE! Stumbled on this little story about how a business owner outfitted her entire business with furniture and equipment for nothing using freecycle. Of course, freecycle is just ONE of the many similar venues, eg. fullcircles.ca (Canada); ilovefreegle.org (U.K.); reuseitnework.org (International).

POPSKeep Your Personal Life Out of the Office I've discovered that we have 67 members on the FullCircles Ottawa Freecycling group registered with their Government of Canada email addresses. I'm sending them a note suggesting this is not a good idea. I'm suggesting a Gmail address as an alternative.

POPSWhen your intent is to "Give Back" Thanks to Elle D'Coda for amplifying the "Intents" website. This particular one is a nice reminder for our FullCircles, ReUseIt, Freecycling communities. Some members have been the recipient of many gifts and have not yet "given back"... at least in any visible way.

POPSMorning Cereal Damaging Your Liver? new research from a study published in the International Journal of Biological Sciences indicates that any good from extra omega-3s will be minimal compared to the potential heart, kidney, and liver damage caused by Monsanto crops. The study, conducted by French researchers, showed that consumption of Monsanto maize damaged lab rats' organs after just 90 days. The problem isn't the maize itself--it's the pesticide residue on top of it.

POPSDec 26: Unshop on Boxing Day Boxing Day, a stat holiday in Canada, is apparently the BIGGEST shopping day of the year. In keeping with my degrowth mission, Boxing Day is a great UNshopping Day. Lots of good ideas for NOT shopping here. And, of course, don't forget to UNshop on FullCircles / Freecycle / ReUseIt / Freegle, etc.
