Israel Will Act to Prevent a Nuclear Iran
dl211
by dl211  8-18-2008
Iraq would become increasingly destabilized and the existence of the state of Israel will be directly threatened. Consider that, for many years, Iran has made no secret of its dubious long-term intentions. Israel's destruction has long been its fundamental objective. The multi-year international crisis with Iran is nearing its conclusion. Several months from now, Iran will have successfully achieved the capability to produce a nuclear weapon. Sadly, international diplomacy and an ineffective United Nations will not deter Iran from its nuclear ambition. The result is that the world is well on the path to another international military confrontation. Indeed, the ongoing threats from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appear to leave Israel very little choice. In the next six months, Israel will act to prevent a nuclear Iran.

Why don't we just hand over all the decisions to the Generals and Admirals and get it over with? We might as well save money on elections an other such futile circuses. Just call it The Disunuted States of the Pentagon. just cut out "the people" As middlemen and go directly to the profiteering Korporations and ask them what they need to bring in more obscene $$$$$$. Why fuck around voting?

Change is something IT struggles with daily. We're change agents and yet when the change is directed at us, we're just as resistant as our customers. This is a great article on the challenges faced by David Farris, IT Manager at the US Department of Agriculture.

General William Odom
cptenaud
by cptenaud  6-2-2008    3
"Among senior military people, he was probably the first to consider the war in Iraq a misbegotten adventure," Brzezinski said yesterday. "He believed that we're just stoking hostility to the United States in that region and developing an opposition that cannot be defeated by military means. He was very outspoken." Well before the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, Gen. Odom warned that military action in Iraq would be foolhardy and futile. He outlined his positions in The Washington Post's Outlook section Feb. 11, 2007, in the essay "Victory Is Not an Option." "The president's policy is based on illusions, not realities," he wrote. "There never has been any right way to invade and transform Iraq."

I Found Your Dog Today.....
carrerinyes
by carrerinyes  5-18-2008    9
And despite all my persuasion, his eyes see a stranger. He did not trust. He would not come. He turned and continued his journey; one he was sure would bring him to you. He does not understand you are not looking for him. He only knows you are not there, he only knows he must find you. This is more important than food or water or the stranger who can give him these things. Persuasion and pursuit seemed futile; I did not even know his name. I drove home, filled a bucket with water and a bowl with food and returned to where we had met. I could see no sign of him, but I left my offering under the tree where he had sought shelter from the sun and a chance to rest. You see, he is not of the desert. When you domesticated him, you took away any instinct of survival out here. His purpose demands that he travel during the day. He doesn't know that the sun and heat will claim his life. He only knows that he has to find you.

Fat Loss Programs
little123
by little123  5-8-2008
The most terrible fact is to decide which method is the best for your body. Your diet plan or fat/loss method may burn the fat or may make you fatter. These are short term solutions and you’ll have a little bit weight loss but what happens after some time. You will gain that (so-called lost) weight again, and may even get fatter. As it’s a very serious problem so every year millions of people spend trillions of dollars in the futile to lose weight. There are so many opinions about how to lose weight but only a few people know what the reality is. Here, I’m going to discuss something of too much importance with you and if it will help you, trust me nothing would make me happier than it.

I find this to be a useful metaphor in today's climate of fear. We perceive ourselves as surrounded by "imaginary enemies"... giants when, in fact, many of these are windmills whirled by the wind doing useful things.

Tony Blair At Yale: A Futile Attempt at Understanding
merrie
by merrie  3-10-2008    3
There are countless Islamic centers in universities across America, all seeking to promote understanding of Islam among non-Muslims. However, there isn't one single Christian center anywhere in the Muslim world to promote understanding of Christianity among Muslims, and any attempt to build one would certainly be met with lethal punishment. Islamic leaders have made it very clear that Islam is not here to be understood or accepted or even to be equal. It is here to eradicate all other religions and become the driving force of the world.

Anti-Depressants a Scam for the Depressed
blueridge

New research shows they are useless and that outdoor exercise is better therapy. Hard outdoor work does wonders to vent frustration and relieves anxiety and stress while enabling yourself to think and resolve issues while you work. The old adage of "going to chop some wood" still has merits.
