In fact, the actors playing "criminals" passing through a revolving door in the ad were all white. -- Voters considered it relevant that a candidate for president was so beholden to the ACLU that he backed an idiotic furlough program that released first-degree murderers. And yet in Keith Olbermann's discussion of Bush's allegedly vile, racist use of Willie Horton, he used a phony version of the ad, doctored to include a photo of Horton. in fairness to Keith, he's never been a "content guy." He was a communications major. (The agriculture school Keith attended offered a degree in this field.) He lifts the material for his show from liberal blogs, overwrites it, and throws in his trademark smirking and snorts. But that's all he does because, again, he was a communications major.

POPSThe Fun Theory. Great idea. Think this concept should be rolled out across America to promote health and fitness. Perhaps alternative ways to exercise - like taking the stairs everyday - might help lower our collective health insurance costs and save some lives. Oh, btw, damn good marketing on the part of VW too...kudos.

Every time I see one I laugh. It may be appropriate that a wannabe-famous Chinese firm bought the wannabe-taken-seriously-brand. Main reason for posting this is to introduce folks to China Smack, a strange and interesting look into the Chinese tech and monied class. A strange and bizarre mix of topics with comments by netizens after each story. Sort of like putting the National Enquirer, Fox News, CNN and NPR together in one place.

The good possibility of some other disease breaking out because of piling up garbage and an ensuing growth in rodent and fly populations. Swine flu developed within industrially grown herds of thousands of pigs in unsanitary conditions, which is a formula for creating the chance of a disease breakout. The unintended consequence of the use of pigs kept in small numbers by families who collected and recycled garbage for income? A safer Cairo? Why'd they really do it? They have had 30+ deaths from avian flu arising from "farming" too many chickens in unsanitary conditions for the world poultry market. Had to look good at something but not threaten the income of poultry traders. Add to this that the garbage pickers are minority Coptic Christians and the government probably thought no one would care. But now the garbage is piling up
