The Audacity Hustle Exposed
merrie
by merrie  8-4-2008    1
It's all part of the Audacity Hustle. Obama is running the most audacious campaign in American history. But the Hustle only works for the real suckers. His German Tiergarten speech with "Citizens of the world!" -- a direct echo of "Workers of the world!" from the Communist Manifesto of 1848. "We are the change we've been waiting for!" It's repeated in The Obama Hustle over and over again. But it's just Fidel Castro's slogan, "La Revolucion Somos Nosotros!" --- "We are the Revolution!" Most Americans don't know that Obama's Soviet Realism pics are just imitation Lenin posters. The same thing for The Decembrist rock band to echo the Russian Decemberist rebellion. That's why the Decembrist rockers play the Soviet National Anthem to start their concerts. Get it? The whole idea that Obama is a devout Christian is another fraud; he's a militant atheist, just like Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.

Having the ‘Best Military’ Is Not Always a Good Thing
papananook
by papananook  7-21-2008    6
So consider this a modest proposal from a retired citizen-airman: A small but meaningful act against the creeping militarism of the Bush years would be to collectively repudiate our “world’s best warfighter” rhetoric and re-embrace instead a tradition of reluctant but resolute citizen-soldiers. Becoming Warfighters I first noticed the term “warfighter” in 2002. Like many a field-grade staff officer, I spent a lot of time crafting PowerPoint briefings, trying to sell senior officers and the Pentagon on my particular unit’s importance to the President’s new Global War on Terrorism. The more briefings I saw, the more often I came across references to “serving the warfighter.” It was, I suppose, an obvious selling point, once we were at war in Afghanistan and gearing up for “regime-change” in Iraq. And I was probably typical in that I, too, grabbed the term for my briefings. After all, who wants to be left behind when it comes to supporting the troops “at the pointy end of the spear”

Explorers, Daredevils & Record Setters of the 30's

The Twenties and Thirties have always been an area of interest to me. The Roaring Twenties, where we drank Bathtub Gin and danced the Charleston. Speakeasies everywhere! (One reporter did an experiment in 25 different US Cities where he timed how long it would take to be able to buy illegal liquor. Shortest time was 21 seconds. Longest was 3 hours and 19 minutes. That must have been a "Dry County.") America was in love with the "new" vogue and any fads it could find. Just a few examples: phone booth stuffing (25 college students at University of Chicago), Marathon Dancing, Flagpole Sitting, Racecar Driving, Monopoly, the :"Talkies," Radio Programs, Coney Island, Daredevil Flying, Long-Distance Swimming, Harry Houdini, Solo Flights, Self-Made Millionaires, the Gangster (especially Al Capone who courted the media), Exploring the Unknown, and Political Radical Causes! History is amazing!

by merrie  7-19-2008
German leader casts doubt over Obama's grand Berlin entrance "It is unusual to do electioneering abroad," spokesman Thomas Steg said. "It is unusual to hold election rallies abroad. No German candidate for high office would even think of using the National Mall (in Washington) or Red Square in Moscow for a rally because it would not be seen as appropriate." Speaking from Japan, where Mrs Merkel is taking part in the G8 meeting, Mr Steg said it was up to Senator Obama to decide what was "in good taste" but added that the Chancellor found the idea "a bit odd".

Something BIG that Americans really could be proud of ... if only. It is ironic now that the great BLOCKADE BUSTERS of 1948 are now the principles in the implementation of a similar BLOCKADE of Gaza, supporting THE fascist Zionist power! Now Russia is a reluctant co-conspirator with the US, the EU and UN party to this pending atrocity against the democratically elected power.

Polish WW2 War Criminal Escapes to Israel

by righthand  6-23-2008    1
He was a member of the State Security and the commandant of the Stalinist-era concentration camp Zgoda in Świętochłowice, Poland. Of 6,000 inmates that he was responsible for, that 1,695 people died under him "by deliberately giving low food rations, systematically torturing and mistreating prisoners, and failing to take sanitary precautions." Zgoda camp was set up by the Soviet NKVD, the forerunner of the KGB , after the Red Army entered southern Poland. The camp was later handed over to the Communist Polish secret service, the notorious Urząd Bezpieczeństwa. In March 1945, Morel became a chief of the labour camp.
