Input from the public accepted till early April. The USA does not have any national agreed curriculum. Some states, like Texas, are known for having a very conservative one. Sounds like a good idea but also one that will have lots of battles over what's in and what's out. But it would be good to have some common ground. It sounds like they have a good approach. Just the savings on textbooks (which could be unified instead of made for each state) would be good for schools. Although some things they want kids to read at age 13, I didn't understand fully till I was married and had my own kids (Little Woman, for example, has the death of a young child central character...do you really grasp that when puberty is, or about to become your central issue for the next several years!?
