POPSBush to address country about bailout plan I personally still think it is BS that this thing has such a RUSH on it. If it is that bad, then why did they not fix it a few weeks ago or a month ago. Forecasting could have shown projections on where things were going. There is definitely something else behind this whole thing to RUSH things through. For the Kremlin, the establishment of a NATO foothold in Georgia would be an intolerable development that could spark a domino effect across the Caucasus. It would start with the internationalization of peace process in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, causing Russia to lose its monopoly on "peacekeeping" operations, and culminate with Moscow losing control over the South Caucasus - with the grave consequences for stability in Russia’s volatile North Caucasus autonomous republics. To prevent this from happening, the Kremlin "preempted" the Western move and, in a risky gambit, radically changed the situation on the ground.

You wonder why our military is stretched too thin...why we need Asia and the Middle East to bail out our banks...why we haven't embraced alternatives to oil like Asia and Europe have...why we haven't caught Bin Laden... Maybe it's because we keep electing people that seem cool to hang out with but aren't capable of leading the world's most powerful nation. How about George Bush and Sarah Palin start a tv show called "politicians that seem fun to hang out with" and we start electing more boring but gifted people as President.
