POPSNo! All sugars are NOT alike. All are bad. Some are worse. .... High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) has been repeatedly associated with numerous negative effects. This article explains how HFCS is associated with excessive arm pit sweating. It isn't a scientific study and it isn't published in some high caliber peer review medical journal. It is, however, worth reading and considering. If there is any truth to the information we should ask ourselves if this might not just be more evidence against HFCS. .... If we eliminate HFCS, should we replace it with other sugars. No. Sugar and sweetness are addicting and thee is much evidence that sugar can cause cancer. In fact, one test for cancer (PET scan) actually uses radioactive sugar to highlight cancer cells in the body. Cancer cells love sugar. Let's decide to NOT FEED CANCER CELLS. .... Sugar is bad. HFCS is worse.

POPSCutting Through the Hype and Deception of Sweeteners → What's Safe and What's Not? “Corn sugar”? It’s high-fructose corn syrup by any other name, and it’s dangerous. You may be surprised at the latest research: • High--fructose corn syrup (HFCS) • Fructose • Agave • Sugar • Aspartame • Neotame • Saccharin • Sucralose All sweet tastes raise insulin, which causes overeating and sets the stage for type 2 diabetes, there are some low-calorie alternatives: • Stevia • Sugar alcohols • Inulin And high-calorie alternatives: • Honey (raw, organic) is always the natural sweetener of choice. • Maple syrup is one of the richest source of minerals found in any sweetener. • Unsulfured, organic sugarcane molasses is fairly rich in vitamins and minerals • Coconut palm sugar is now available as a sweetener. It is usually heat-processed, so try to find raw coconut palm sugar • Lo Han Guo is a non-glycemic sweetener made from a type of wild cucumber.

POPSsay NO to GMO SALMON
There are a lot of bad ideas in food and agriculture today: high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), rBGH in your milk, but genetically modified (GMO) salmon really takes the cake. Massive mutant GMO salmon, genetically engineered to grow twice as fast as wild salmon, are coming to a table near you if you don’t act today. On September 3rd, a panel of three Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials declared that genetically modified salmon were “safe” for human consumption. Somehow, the elite FDA panel arrived at this "decision" based on “scientific research” provided by AquaBounty Technologies, the same company that stands to profit from introducing its patented genes onto our plates. With the potential approval of GMO salmon, Americans are now entering an alarming new era of genetic experimentation with food animals, nature and the human population. Already the scientific community is warning against the real risk that these unnaturally engineered fish pose to wild species, the e

POPSBig Soda Wants to Keep America Fat This is rat race for the dirty money. At any cost, even if their consumers will go to hell. Who cares? They need their money. Who must be sober and responsible in this situation? Yes, people representatives. In local governments and in Congress. But are they? Where their concerned voices? All of them were bought already by sober and goal-oriented corporations?

POPSAGAVE.....NOT SO "NOBLE"...The Truth.
My only purpose for sharing this information is to help people understand the truth about health. In case you haven’t noticed we have an epidemic of obesity in the US and it wasn’t until recently that my eyes opened up to the primary cause - - fructose. I had similar epiphanies about omega-3 fats and vitamin D since I started this site, but this is the most major health appreciation I have had since I learned about vitamin D over five years ago. This is serious business and it is my intention to make the public fully aware of it and let you make your own choices. Yes it is all about freedom of choice. It is hard to have freedom if you aren’t given the entire story, and up until now that has been the case with agave. So Just What is Agave? Blue agave is an exotic plant growing in the rich volcanic soil of Mexico under a hot tropical sun, boasting a stately flower stem that blooms only once in its lifetime. "Agave" literally means "noble." It’s generally recog

POPSREAD the Labels......Say NO to FRUCTOSE Dr. Mercola's Comments: This study takes its place in a growing lineup of scientific studies demonstrating that consuming high-fructose corn syrup is the fastest way to trash your health. It is now known without a doubt that sugar in your food, in all it’s myriad of forms, is taking a devastating toll. And fructose in any form -- including high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and crystalline fructose -- is the worst of the worst! Fructose is a major contributor to: * Insulin resistance and obesity * Elevated blood pressure * Elevated triglycerides and elevated LDL * Depletion of vitamins and minerals * Cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer, arthritis and even gout

POPSRestaurant Chefs Boiling Over NYC Mayor's Salt Crackdown
Slow down, mayor Mike. I don't want you to get skidding. There is dangerous curve ahead. Don't trust your health advisers - they are dead wrong about salt. Swine flu is not enough? May be they mixing this vital necessary white substance with sugars, especially fructose from infamous High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)? The look alike...;) Sugars in our food are definitely deserve your powerful crackdown. Like smoking ban. But not sodium! Hard to say exactly where this trend coming from: moronic food pyramids or moronic Agenda 21. Only patients with developed cardio-vascular diseases must curb their sodium intake. Without salt our food taste... like it taste often now in fast food restaurants. With mood disorders, depressions, bipolar syndrome or even delirium... you name it. And we trying substitute dirt cheap natural Sodium with relative (neighboring in periodic chart) chemical element Lithium, expensive like gold and poisonous like medieval Mercury. Are we all still in Middle Age? Some

POPSThe real "Real Thing" On a trip to Mexico I wondered why the Coke tasted so much better. Someone told me it was because they still used cane sugar. Luckily Mexican Coke (as we call it) is sold at my local grocery. It costs around $1.30 per little glass bottle. Ouch! I gladly pay it though, because it tastes so much better and it keeps me from drinking very many. I drink it once a week or so as a treat. If you can find it, give it a try. I do wish it was made in the US. Maybe the trend will give Coca-Cola pause, and they will start making it here. If people will pay more for it, and it seems they will, what's the problem? My biggest problem with HFCS is that they put it in everything. EVERY. THING.
