Bailout Creating a Financial Black Hole
katsteevns
by katsteevns  Yesterday 5:59 PM
(cont.)The latest propaganda from the government and the Illuminist think tanks tells us that, treasuries are more secure than gold because they are backed by the US government and gold has a counter party risk by whoever is storing your gold as the counter party. I’ve never heard any stupider comments. The Fed has informed Bank of America to be ready for a one-week universal shutdown of the banking system, including access to checking accounts, savings accounts and credit cards. This is why you need $5,000 in small bills in your safe at home and small denomination gold and silver coins.

The big bounce vs Big Bang
pokkets
by pokkets  10-4-2008
Edwin Hubble and Stephen Hawking, and the discovery of Cosmic background radiation amongst other contributers drafted the Big Bang Theory, but Each knew it was a theory, and destined to be qualified significantly as our our technology and depth of understanding progresses. Big bang is a Theory, not a conclusion. Ask Stephen Hawking to consider any new theories, and evidence, and he would be delighted to consider the evidence. He's a scientist, and a Mathematician, who knows how limited our theories can be with what we know. He is looking for what happened, not what may have happened,.

Forget black holes, could the LHC trigger a “Bose supernova”?
Silkweaver
by Silkweaver  10-4-2008    2
Nobody is exactly sure how these explosions proceed which is a tad worrying for the following reason: some clever clogs has pointed out that superfluid helium is a BEC and that the LHC is swimming in 700,000 litres of the stuff. Not only that but the entire thing is bathed in some of the most powerful magnetic fields on the planet. If not for anything else, the LHC has become a modern doom spelling myth. The universe is about to punish us for prying on its privacy... These modern myths are truly fascinating. After Bose Nova? Bose Supernova! :-)

Big Pharma in the News
AtlLiberal
by AtlLiberal  10-4-2008    6
Money talks. And money corrupts. The story behind this story of one psychiatrist is that of the buying and selling of the nation's health. For profit healthcare is a no win situation for the consumer. Depending on an "open market" when the financial stakes are so high leads to corruption and scandal. And the consumer is sure to lose in the end.

ACORN Members Ask Feds: "Where's the Hope?"
dl211

"This country needs to address the crisis on Main Street, the foreclosures that are plaguing our communities and dragging down the entire economy." - Guess what moron, your stupid organization contributed largely to this economic crisis in forcing banks to go along with your dopey organization to make these ill advised loans to unqualified borrowers to begin with. That is why the economy cratered and you're asking us to pour more money down that same hole, hopefully we aren't that stupid again.

What makes these millionaires worthy of a bailout?
spirithiker
by spirithiker  9-30-2008
More from the article: "I've been hearing from Republicans all my life about the virtue of capitalism and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps -- but it turns out the bootstraps have to come from the government and the government also does the pulling up? How is that capitalism?" I want to know why the government turned its back while the American auto industry was loosing its shirt to foreign automakers? And why didn't the government step in to stop our industries from moving overseas and leaving nothing but minimum wage jobs behind? These corporate welfare recipients who took advantage of a federal government that allowed an unregulated wholesale ripoff of their fellow Americans deserve to loose everything they own. American ingenuity will get us through this, but it will be a lot easier to do so without Bush and his gang digging the hole deeper while we are digging our way out.

No matter what type of pain we suffer from, it is a constant struggle to deal with the throbbing and simply put on a brave face. Many of us desperately want to focus on the more important things in life - our children, our jobs, even our futures - but when back pain is controlling every minute, every hour, every day; it feels as if we are sinking into a hole that is impossible to climb out of. Is there any way to find a solution, a method to this madness? Thanks to today’s medical advances, there may just be an alternative.
