POPSAyatollah of the RAF: Academic 'university' head is Muslim convert In another article recently he likened Churchill to Mohammed. In a letter to The Mail on Sunday entitled The Air Force Ayatollah, one senior officer expressed concern that Dr Hayward was focusing more on ‘Islamist activities that are nothing to do with the RAF’. High-flying student: Prince William was taught by Dr Hayward He also accused him of giving Muslim cadets preferential treatment and making other students take a ‘softly, softly line when writing about Muslim terrorists/Islamist extremists’. Another officer claimed cadets and lecturers ‘are in fear’ of expressing anything that might be construed as anti-Muslim sentiment. ‘Anyone who fails to follow the line that Islam is a peace-loving religion is hauled into his office for re-education,’ he said. Last night Dr Hayward said he did not ‘recognise’ the allegations.

POPSWhy is Obama Endorsing Muslim Superheroes Designed to Appeal to American Kids?
The comics of my youth left indelible impressions. I still recall the bravery of Sgt. Fury and his 'Howling Commandoes' as they fought the Nazis. The incredible powers of Superman, Batman and Spiderman. The inhuman strength of The Hulk. It's little wonder that impressionable kids around the world gravitate to idealized views of adulthood, placed before them by the comic books' authors. Following President Obama’s speech committing the US to engage with the Arab world, Mutawa seized the opportunity to propose a crossover with the heroes of DC comics. The deal is underway to have heroes from the Justice League help out their new comrades, Jabbar, Jami, and Widad under the guidance of Dr. Ramzi as they battle Rughal to protect the stones of wisdom. This cast will also find its way to televisions soon, as Teshkeel Media enters into a partnership with UK animator Endemol. The American president heaped praise on Naif al-Mutawa, whose superhero comic book ...

POPSAvatar Half-Tells a Story We Would All Prefer to Forget 'The Earth Shall Weep", which, using really prodigious research, tells the story of the extermination from the point of view of the exterminated. So painful was it to read that I couldn't finish it. The greatest dishonour done to these innocent people is to ignore what happened. Then the first step towards some kind of redemption becomes possible by rejecting the values which make this kind of behaviour possible, not just towards human people, but to all the non-human living world, too

POPSRescuer of Anne Frank's Diary Passes On At 100. From the article: " In 1989 the West German government awarded Gies the highest civilian medal, and in 1996 Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands knighted her. In private, Gies and her husband Jan would stay home to reflect on their lost loved ones every August 4th, the anniversary of the raid. Besides risking her life to protect those in need, Miep Gies enabled the publication of the most famous document of the Holocaust and perhaps the most famous document about human rights abuse. Published in 68 languages and read in classrooms worldwide, this book has allowed generations of people to learn about an extraordinarily dark period of human history and why it must never be forgotten. Miep Gies demonstrates that even in the most dismal of times, the goodness of humanity can still prevail."

POPSEvil Ahmadinejad in Denial as He Discusses 'democratic' Iran at UN
Those who stayed had to all but stifle their laughter when Ahmadinejad heralded Iran's recent "glorious and fully democratic election" - a contest that sparked massive street protests, which ended only after Ahmadinejad's thugs brutally beat and killed opponents. "I don't think I have sever seen a walkout of this magnitude," Walter Russell Mead of the conservative Hudson Institute told CNN after Ahmadinejad finished playing to the half-empty General Assembly hall. "It was a speech Adolf Hitler could have given." Outside UN headquarters, hundreds of Iranians picketed the Iranian strongman for much of the day. "He is not our voice. He is not our representative. We want him out of the UN," said Masomeh Ataey, 52, who traveled from Virginia to join hundreds of flag-waving protesters at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Ahmadinejad insisted his country is ready to shake all hands "that are honestly extended to us," which seemed to be an odd reversal on his comment Tuesday that he'd . . .

POPSRight-wing media and the fringe: A growing history of violence (and denial)
While right-wing media are certainly not legally culpable for any recent attacks, they are responsible for promoting a culture of fear, paranoia, and violence that is anti-government in the extreme -- a culture in which extremists, including von Brunn and Richard Poplawski, who fatally shot three Pittsburgh police officers, were apparently immersed. Poplawski was convinced that the Obama administration was going to take away his guns. Even though no evidence of such a policy exists, right-wing commentators and news organizations made the claim repeatedly before the shooting and have continued to do so since. Predictably, conservative media figures responded to the museum shooting by attempting to shift attention away from themselves and onto political liberals and even President Obama himself. On June 10, the day of the museum shooting, financial analyst and radio host Jim Lacamp said on Fox News that "we have an administration that's really done a lot of class warfare, a lot of cla

POPSPalestinians: Israeli Attack on Jesus, Mary "Racist," Anti-Semitic I don't buy into the "Jews killed Jesus" claptrap, but man, some people are just plain stupid. "So what did we learn here? A Jewish-Israeli attack on the holy figures of Christianity provoked outrage among Muslims as well as Christians, and was denounced by Palestinian-Israelis (20% of the population) as racist and as anti-Semitic. One background for this Palestinian-Israeli response is that the crucified Christ is often taken by Palestinian Christians as a symbol of their displacement and expropriation at the hands of Israelis. So the attack on that symbol ('died young of being obese') by a representative of the Jewish majority was doubly painful, since it repeated on a symbolic level the Israeli denial of the 1948 Catastrophe and even of the existence of the Palestinians. POPSWho should we believe? Who has THE Record for Denial? No contest! How do we know the Zionist parrot is lying? The evidence of burning UNRWA buildings that water could extinguish, makes worse by water! Or the record of the Zionist for bear-faced lies like Qana and now Zeitoun! Or the WMD lies to invade Iraq! Or the lies now to attack Iran! Or USS Liberty! Or Pollard, probably free by now! Tell me when they owned up to ANYTHING! The TRUTH has to be wrung of of them, kicking and screaming! But still they'll be there with their begging-bowl, looking for more, to kill more children. Denial is all to them. Denial of the holocaust now with their attempt to exterminate Gaza life.

POPSReligion Of Peace Attacks Synagogue's In The United States . . . . by Dearbornistan Heights, Michigan Muslim Lola Elzein. The Jewish Federations and Jewish Community Relations Councils, of which Jay Tcath is a big part, constantly pander to these extremist Muslims and won't denounce them. They didn't do a damned thing about the death threats against me and continued to applaud the "moderate" Islamic community around us. In the 1940s, they'd have been doing the same with the German American Bund. In Detroit, David Gad-Harf a/k/a "Abu Gad-Harf" as head of the Jewish Community Council, now with a New Jersey Jewish Federation, worked with Muslims to make immigration laws more lenient toward Muslims. Now, we are reaping the rewards of that absurdity. Posted by Debbie at January 11, 2009 debbieschlussel.com

POPSFREE Email: Time To Expel Ahmadinejad's Iran From U.N. It’s time to tell Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that his promotion of hatred and destruction— his repeated denial of the Holocaust, his explicit incitement to eliminate Israel, his mad pursuit of nuclear weapons in defiance of the international community—carries a price. A government that systematically denies one genocide while actively seeking another stands in contempt of the principles of the United Nations.
