Have Conservative principals permeated North?
notareargunner
by notareargunner  Yesterday 9:54 AM
With this level of impropriety suggested at Conservative HQ, how can the electorate of this region be reassured that the local party is free of such graft? Do local treasurers have the power to rein in over enthusiastic local politicians? Everyone can see that London Labour is so corrupt that their leading treasury personnel have no control over Labour finances. Labour Ministers flaunt their disregard for ethics whilst their spouses deny every single misdeeds of their partners. There is one ancient English metaphor...shit stinks!!! It is perfuming over both the major parties with equal stench.

John McCain Comedy Club
spirithiker
by spirithiker  8-18-2008
One commenters response: "Your snarky sarcasm proves that McCain's ads are definitely arousing fear in those who do not wish McCain to win." We are in fear of a McBush win because America's downward spiral of world opinion towards us, our economy, or ethical and moral values, our morale as a nation under siege by neocon intelligence gathering goons at the NSA and Homeland security needs to stop and McBush has vowed to continue Bush's attack on all of us through his shredding of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

by Root Beer  8-11-2008    1
Equinology, Inc., a Gualala, Calif.-based massage school, says when it began operating about 15 years ago, a couple hundred people took its horse massage therapy courses. Now, almost 900 sign up each year. Company vice president Paul Hougard said there were just a few schools when his company started but estimates there are now about 50 across the country. The National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage plans to start an online exam next month to create credential standards. Among other things, it will test massage techniques, anatomy, ethics and animal behavior.

Congressman Alcee Hastings On American Policy Center's "MOST CORRUPT" List
Judge Love

And to top it all off, Mr. Hastings is a "Member in Good Standing" with the Florida Bar! Apparently the US Senate thought Hastings was too corrupt to be a Federal Judge, but the Florida Bar thinks Hastings wasn't corrupt enough to lose his Florida Bar Membership. Does the Florida Bar really oversee and enfoce ETHICS with their members who are supposedly, "Officers of the Court"? Seems not !

Obama Is A Phony And A Socialist!
dl211
by dl211  8-6-2008    1
his adviser Professor Cornell West, who calls himself a "progressive socialist" and is a close associate and admirer of tyrant Hugo Chavez; his "moral compass" and campaign adviser, Father Michael "hate whitey" Pfleger; adviser Robert Malley who resigned after it was reporting he was meeting with the terrorist group Hamas; and fundraiser Jodie Evans, another admirer of Chavez, who asked, "Why is being a communist anti-American?" Sen. Obama was greatly influenced by radical community organizer, Saul Alinsky, for whom "change" met radical socialism and the redistribution of wealth, and who preached the end justifies the means and ethics shouldn't get in the way of effective community organization. Obama early on went for Marxist professors when in college and even before that one of his mentors was a communist poet and journalist, Frank Marshall Davis. Remember if Obama gets the White House he will have a rubber-stamping Congress headed by Sen. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. With a veto

The error of conteporary ethics: values from nowhere?
Silkweaver
by Silkweaver  7-29-2008    1
Looking at the above list, we can see certain regularities; they don’t constitute a random collection of properties for a human life to have. One thing that comes to mind when browsing through the list is that a large number of these terminal values are also quite widely useful instrumental values. In fact, they remind me of my own idea: Universal Instrumental Values (UIVs) In attempting to answer the question “are there goals which are objectively good to adopt, and if so what are they?”, we should take note of the apparent regularity here: when choosing their notion of terminal value, people tend to opt for those qualities that also happen to be instrumental values for a wide variety of other goals. This observation supports the idea that there are objective values in our existence: - a priori, people can choose whatever terminal values they want, but a posteriori they usually choose UIVs; things that are just universally useful. And these things are, of course, dictated by the

"An individual does have the right to refuse his/her Social Security retirement benefit. However, Social Security is an entitlement program and an individual would essentially be forfeiting a benefit based upon contributions during his/her working lifetime," Jarrett said. McCain criticized Social Security as 'a disgrace' but still takes a check every month.

Culpable Ignorance

It takes less arrogance to say that we have a variety of important issues – from the future collapse of social security, to global warming, to a struggling economy, to poor education, and to simply add, "I don’t know which one is the most important, which is why I want somebody with sufficient breadth of knowledge to deal with all of them."
