POPSBombs in Iran? Not so much The Washington Post put forward an audaciously spun story about Vyacheslav Danilenko, whom WaPo's Joby Warrick is accusing of being a Soviet Weapons Scientist. Danilenko is actually — has always been — a scientist who specializes in using explosions to create synthetic industrial diamonds, for use in oil drilling. All this ridiculous noise about Iran making bombs because they've created technology for accurately measuring the power and shape of explosions has perfectly legitimate, non-nuclear applications. Someone needs to hold the Commercial Conservative Media responsible for the Yellow Journalism they're passing off as news. It's no wonder so many Americans are misinformed about their nation, and the world; they're bombarded with lies from all sides. Shades of Brazil...
