POPSThe Last Victorian Leviathan Steam Ship Alas, the end of the Eastern came with more of a whimper than bang. After suffering far too many accidents, and far too many money troubles, the Eastern passed from one hand to another until eventually the largest ship in the Victorian world came to a humiliating end, first as a floating billboard in Liverpool and then finally broken up and sold as scrap. - It took two full years just to dismantle this ship (gives you an idea how big it was). - A mysterious dead body was found inside the special double hull (one can only imagine the desperate story of that stowaway...) At least Brunel didn't see the sad and pathetic end to his magnificent Great Eastern, though he didn't live to see its majesty either. Brunel died only four days after the great ship's first sea trial.

POPSCommonsense approach to tutorials Tutorials, it's so tempting to tack them on at the end, but they're so much work and so hard to get right they really ought to be planned into a project from the beginning. It's handy to have an article with these commonsense points all in the same place. Come back here when next designing one. ;) I'm actually interested in playing this game to see the tutorials now. :O

POPSBarak: Only deterrent military power will bring peace As if Israel is not already top-heavy with the most sophisticated weaponry and accompanying connivance ever known to the human race, including 150 nuclear bombs, its head-of-state don't think Israel has enough. Barak's statement is just one of the many illustrations of a very mentally ill society that thinks that gunpower will exonerate them from all the butchering, slaughtering, torturing, ethnic cleansing, stealing and any and every crime against humanity. If his statement is the rule of humanity then all gangsters and brutal dictators have been morally correct all along.
