POPSAnother Dubious Democratic 'Doctor' at HealthCare TownHall I’m indebted to a number of bloggers, including Kate McMillan, for drawing my attention to the fact that Dr. Leavitt is no stranger to local politics or to prefabricated “talking points.” In fact, at one time in the recent past, her own car was covered with them. As one reporter wrote in 2005: You could call Sheila Leavitt a nutty, annoying, unrelenting Newton leftie who home-schools the kids and raises chickens to share eggs with neighbors, not to eat. She is, of course, a vegetarian. I see her as one of those rare people who puts their convictions on parade, then faces uneasy consequences. Like the beefy, mad, middle-aged guy who followed her around the Esplanade yesterday, before dawn, tearing down her “Impeach Bush” posters as fast as she put them up.

POPSMoveOn Ad Calls For Bybee's Impeachment Jay Bybee was responsible for secret memos authorizing the Bush-era torture program," reads the script. "And today he is serving as a federal judge. It is time for Congress to impeach Judge Bybee

POPSPaging Dr. Levin - Salve the Shame Cont: So here's my question: Would Bybee, in his capacity as a federal judge, uphold a murder conviction in which witnesses had been waterboarded? A rape confession? Would it be all right for police to induce confessions by keeping suspects awake for 11 days by shackling them naked in a standing position, dousing them with ice water and smashing their heads into a wall? How about cramming them into coffin-size boxes for weeks? He thought that appropriate for terror suspects.

POPSSupport Nadler Resolution on Bush Pardons (3) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that James Madison was correct in his observation that " f the President be connected, in any suspicious manner, with any person, and there be grounds believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him; they can remove him if found guilty"; (4) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that a special investigative commission, or a Select Committee be tasked with investigating possible illegal activities by senior officials of the administration of President George W. Bush, including, if necessary, any abuse of the President's pardon power; and (5) the next Attorney General of the United States appoint an independent counsel to investigate, and, where appropriate, prosecute illegal acts by senior officials of the administration of President George W. Bush.

POPS"Send Bush Your Shoes"! An opportunity to express protest and contempt of Bush government, its lies, unjust wars, and anti-constitutional measures, since Congress did not impeach.

POPSLondonTimes: Death of social conservatism in the USA "America is imperfect. It has no divine right to be the world's leading nation. And yet - in this glorious political year - something about it sings. And as the American Olympic team reminded us when we looked at it and wondered at its multicolour, multi-ethnic vibrancy (more than 30 members were born abroad) this nation is ours. There is nothing wrong in wishing it well."

POPSA Democrat supports McCain; Mocks Obama This is bewildering. Although I disagree with the Democrats failing to impeach Bush/Cheeny at least I could understand they had some (Machiavellian) reason. But this? They let this guy be the lead Democratic Chairman on the Homeland (Security) and Government Affairs Committee? They let him sit on other committees? They let him caucus and vote on Democratic Party issues? He keeps other privileges of seniority? And he supports the other party's candidate for president and mocks Obama!? I can only conclude they are wimps or more whipped by the Israeli lobby than I thought possible. Or both. Really...would this be tolerated in any other political party in the world? & if not the reasons above, Why?

POPS The Obama-Biden Ticket Or Biden's call to impeach Bush if Bush bombed Iran: Because, the right approach with Iran would be to address their "emotional needs": Biden appears to believe that what is happening in the Muslim world is our fault. An incredible position to take by any rational measure. So incredible, in fact, that it makes him the perfect sidekick for an Obama run for the White House. Consequences of Biden’s Pro-Muslim Lobbying in the Balkans A man on the record for stating that “all Serbs should be placed in Nazi-style concentration camps” during Senatorial deliberations in 1999 over NATO aggression on Serbia http://www.byzantinesacredart.com/blog/

POPS A Bushie biting the dust ! You may ask yourself how can these small countries do it ? Yet Bush still sits ! One reason, "THE PEOPLE" and looking at everyday news of the people (LinkTV/Mosaic) I notice that people from other countries are more involved in politics & what their Gov. does as oppose to the US where it's your favorite news station that cast the vote .

POPSPakistan's Musharraf Facing Impeachment Bush gov't has propped him up and spent millions in tax dollars supporting his regime. This changes everything, which is why Bush (and Obama) have been moving toward blatant intervention within Pakistan militarily.

POPSShould Conyers Impeach or Write Another Book About Bush's Crimes? Three years ago, Conyers' staffers on the Judiciary Committee produced a book about Bush and Cheney's impeachable offenses. Some of us helped them do it. After all, they were in the minority and couldn't do much more than write books. But now? In the majority? Now, should they be accepting that Congress no longer has subpoena power? Now, should they be accepting that Congress no longer has the power to legislate? Now, should they be accepting that Congress has no power of the purse? Now, should they be devoting tax dollars to the pointless vanity of doing what anyone else can do: writing yet another book on Bush and Cheney's latest impeachable offenses
