POPS Repaving Slave Street
Demanding unquestioning submission, Obama has set about using liberal principles laid as a horsewhip to the back of freedom. Obama offers the false promise of free honey " beckoning Americans inside the gates of the plantation herding them into the field to work with the goal of collecting sweat to “redistribute” for the common good. In an effort to retain power through, “leveling the social and economic playing field” Obama’s slave owner policy initiatives tether Americans to a ball and chain style of socialistic governance that is realized by enslaving those who would otherwise be free. The President’s utopian aspiration is on track to transform Americans into chattel trapped within a restrictive dependency, robbing us of God-given liberty, preventing the acquisition of property and thwarting individual pursuit of happiness. Obama refuses to appreciate that the type of collectivist schema he campaigns for fosters a shadow of the slavery his wife’s ancestors struggled

POPSWhat's YOURS is EVERYONES
There are fundamental differences between the philosophies of Republicans and Democrats. There exists certain core beliefs about the role of government and the individual that are as different as night and day. Republicans believe it is the people who should have the freedom to determine their own destiny, free from overdue government intervention, regulation and control. They believe in lower taxes and smaller government. Republicans believe in "home rule," allowing local governments, closest to the people to have the loudest voice. Republicans believe that government exists to serve the people in the ways the private sector cannot. They believe in "the velocity of money," that is to say, they believe that every time a dollar changes hands privately, it helps the overall economy and creates more revenue through taxes to the government. Democrats, and more specifically the current administration, believe that it is the role of government to "care for" the population in every r

POPS And Tonight’s Winner of the Sputtering Idiotic Partisan Hyperbole Award Is… The Republicans and FOX News are not the enemies of health care. They are opposed to a massive government expansion that can only be brought about through prohibitive costs maintained by a confiscatory tax scheme, and that by its very nature will restrict individual liberties, and restrict freedom of choice in ways that the government simply has no authority to assert. The Republicans and FOX News are not the enemies of education. They simply realize that despite the fact that the federal government has over time usurped power over the field of education that rightly belongs to the states and their subject governments, there is no Constitutional authority for the federal government to continually interfere in education and foist a politically correct agenda onto the American Peoples’ children, nor is there any legal justification to supplant the parents’ rightful opinions for their own. POPSOne of The Biggest Bait-And-Switch Acts in History I'm thinking it's time to pronounce Obama and his agenda precisely what they are - socialist and looking to bring down the last great remaining free capitalist system in the world so as to bring it in line with too much else of a statist world. What else can one call it with any degree of honesty? Certainly liberal no longer serves. The Left abandoned classic liberalism a decade ago. And the New Left has only gotten worse. It's time to draw the battle lines more clearly, start speaking of what freedom, capitalism, individualism and self-determinism actually are and explain to people how they won't be much of anything in some new Obama-designed state. It's time to forget about compromise and begin rejecting Obama and his grand plans completely as he and they deserve for being un-American in the most important meanings of the word. Obama sold his healthcare proposal as a way to reduce costs and help the economy. But, Pawlenty says,

POPSExploratory testing techniques Exploratory testing techniques are approach to software program testing that is concisely described as simultaneous learning, test design and test execution. Cem Kaner, who coined the term in 1983 , now defines exploratory test as "a style of computer software testing that emphasizes the personal freedom and responsibility of the individual tester to continually optimize the quality of his/her work by treating test-related learning, test design, test execution, and test result interpretation as mutually supportive activities that run in parallel throughout the project."

POPS 'On "The Wealth of Nations"' P. J. O'Rourke Economic progress depends upon a trinity of individual prerogatives: pursuit of self-interest, division of labor, and freedom of trade. There is nothing inherently wrong with the pursuit of self-interest. That was Smith's best insight. To a twenty-first-century reader this hardly sounds like news. Or, rather, it sounds like everything that's in the news. These days, altruism itself is proclaimed at the top of the altruist's lungs. Certainly it's of interest to the self to be a celebrity. Bob Geldof has found a way to remain one. But for most of history, wisdom, beliefs, and mores demanded subjugation of ego, bridling of aspiration, and sacrifice of self (and, per Abraham with Isaac, of family members, if you could catch them). This meekness, like Adam Smith's production, had an end and purpose. Most people enjoyed no control over their material circumstances or even-if they were slaves or serfs-their material persons. In the doghouse of . . .

POPSTell President Obama to Cut Off ACORN Now! Petition long-term care and insurance premiums. Men and Women in Uniform We must support the men and women who protect our nation. That means giving them the tools and equipment they need, as well as the benefits and moral support they have earned. I support tax benefits to help ease the financial burdens our citizen-warriors and their families face and updated, improved GI Bill education benefits. And we must also support our first responders, who put their lives on the line to protect us in our homes, businesses, and communities. I was proud to have the MN Police and Peace Officers Association endorse my TRACK Sex Offenders Act, which gives law enforcement and officers the tools they need to keep us safe from sexual predators.

POPSYou Don’t Have a Constitutional Right to Free Speech Just look at the part that addresses speech, “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech…” Nowhere does it say that you are granted the right of freedom of speech, it says you have it, were born with it, and the government cannot do anything about it. But that’s not how it’s viewed or even talked about by politicians these days. rockwell_freedom-of-speech By saying that someone has a Constitutional right for free speech implies that it is granted to you and, therefore, can be taken away at some point by amending the Constitution. While legally this is possibly true, trying to get that amendment passed would have about us much of a chance as getting a safe driver of the year award named after the late Teddy Kennedy. But the mentality that uses and teaches that erodes, even a little, our basic liberties. While our Founding Fathers agreed that our basic right to free speech was granted by God,

And, as we have cited before, he would do this by forcing commercial radio stations to pay a fee equal to their entire operating cost to the government in order to directly benefit NPR. And finally: CNS News has the insight and philosophy behind these people Inspired by Saul Alinsky, FCC 'Diversity' Chief Calls for ‘Confrontational Movement’ to Give Public Broadcasting Dominant Role

POPSDoctors for Patient Freedom: "No Government Run Health Care" Rationing is the only way to control costs if third parties control all of health care financing . Universal Coverage by health insurance is neither achievable nor necessary while Universal Access to medical care is. An Individual mandate to buy health insurance is a slippery slope to socialized medicine and leads to many unintended consequences. Doctors will be forced to comply with government rationing protocols through use of cookbook medicine and electronic medical record systems. Medical Care will only get better under a free market system. Government and private charities have the capacity to take care of the poor. The tax code needs to be changed to grant Medical financial power to Americans, not to force Americans to act against their interests or grow the size of government.

POPSIN man denied ‘No Gods’ license plates though state offers ‘In God We Trust’ plates
As I understand it, the separation of church and state sprang from the concept that the state cannot impose its belief on the individual. The federal government has been doing exactly this since 1864 when the first coin was stamped with “In God We Trust”. In 1956 it became the national motto (http://candst.tripod.com/motto.htm), and it is supported by nearly 90% of Americans, which led the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the motto because, according to them, it has "lost through rote repetition any significant religious content”. Several years ago, the appearance of "In God We Trust" on our money was challenged in the federal courts. The challenge was rejected by the lower federal courts, and the Supreme Court of the United States declined to review the case. Since this message appears on U.S. currency, several states flags and seals, and license plates, many people falsely believe that the U.S. is, and was founded as, a Christian nation. I doubt you will convince them otherwise.

POPSJust say No to Government Motors and Obamacars
History tells us that ventures between government and private enterprise are highly unlikely to succeed. Rolls Royce and British Leyland Motor Corporation were nationalized by the British government. Neither intervention succeeded in making either company profitable. The DNA of America is coded with private enterprise and individual risk-taking and reward. The idea of the government owning businesses of any sort is not merely bad economics, it is terrible government. Any American who values their traditions of free enterprise and political freedom will urge the federal government to disinvest itself from these companies immediately. The federal government can quickly put its controlling stake in the companies on the market and do so at whatever price makes the market. There are plenty of great cars out there. You don't have to buy one that costs not just your cash, but also your commitment to free enterprise and all the benefits that flow from it.

POPSIs Opposing or Parodying Obama as a Socialist "Racist"?
The superficial seem to claim that is the case, and in fact that is how many promoted him to be President, as if the White House needed an Affirmative Action policy to be white-washed in political-correctness and the most superficial of "change"--one of race and color (while Big Government and Wars for "democracy" are continued). Opposition was frequently decried as "racism". Boaz makes a great defense here, with examples in the press, even pointing toward "classical liberalism" to dispel the myth of the charge. Then he closes his argument thus: And it is not good for democracy to try to counter every opposing argument with such a blood libel. The good news for advocates of limited government is that our opponents are displaying a striking lack of confidence in the actual arguments for their proposals. If they thought they could win a debate on nationalizing health care, or running trillion-dollar deficits, they wouldn’t need to reach for such smears.

POPSA Great Moment in our History - A.P. Napolitano
"Jefferson was no saint but he was the greatest of our American presidents. He believed that the individual was greater than the state. He believed that the states were greater than the federal government. And when he wrote that our rights come from our creator, and that our rights are inalienable, he forever wed the notion of natural rights to the American experience and the American experiment. We must be vigilant about every right that the government wants to take away from us." "You’ve heard the president say, present president and his predecessor, “my first job is to keep you safe.” He’s wrong! His first job is to keep us free. It is his only job to keep us free. Jefferson lamented, that in the natural order of things for government to grow and freedom to be diminished; And in order to prevent it from happening he had a very simple remedy, “When the people fear the government, that is tyranny. When the government fears the people, that is liberty!”

POPSWhat I Believe We believe obedience is a fine quality in dogs and young children, but not in adults. Like America's right-wingers, we believe in individual responsibility, hard work to get ahead, and stern punishment for serious crimes. We believe big government should not be blindly trusted. But unlike most right-wing leaders, we mean it. Like America's left-wingers, we believe in equal treatment under law, war as a last (not first) resort, and sensible stewardship of natural resources. We believe big business should not be blindly trusted. But unlike most left-wing leaders, we mean it. Like libertarians, we believe it's wrong and reprehensible to arrest people for what they think, believe, look like, wear, eat, smoke, drink, inhale, inject, or otherwise do to themselves. But unlike many libertarians, we're not obsessed with the gold standard, we don't believe incorporation is humanity's highest achievement, and we don't believe everything in life comes down to dollars and cents
