POPSObama's Infanticide Disgrace The fact that he voted for such a bill is amazing. I wonder, though, if he would (given the task) have actually performed it. Those who do have no soul....in my opinion.

POPSYou May Be A Racist If You...........
If you're appalled that Obama voted against treating infants born after an abortion attempt the same medically as other infants born alive you... If you were proud of your country even before Obama's candidacy you If you oppose racial preferences in employment, school admissions and contracting you... If you think "we are the change we've been waiting for" is a line from a Monty Python skit you... If your grandmother isn't a "typical white person" you... If you're not sure invading Pakistan is a particularly good idea—what with their nuclear weapons and all— you... The tendency of Obama supporters to see racist impulses behind every criticism of their candidate has evolved into absurdity. Now even the first black president feels compelled to declare he's not a racist. By this measure, nearly every American is at risk of being branded a racist at some point in the campaign. To assess whether you're at risk just consult the list below ( apologies to Jeff Foxworthy

POPSWould you forget your child? I can't imagine and yet we hear about these tragedies every year. Living in the hot AZ climate it seems to happen quite often here. What are these parents/caregivers thinking? or Not thinking?

POPSJAMA article builds case for early intervention The nature of scientific studies makes it difficult to "prove" the positive and persistent changes in human development achieved by early intervention - but this article states that the evidence is mounting.

POPSTomatoes get thumbs-up... I'm glad. This is the season for the really good, juicy tomatoes. Poor Taco Bell had taken not only green onions off their food but also tomatoes. Not much left after that!

POPSBorn 1920-1979? Congratulations...
No one was able to reach us all day.And we were OK. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computer! s, no Internet or chat rooms....... WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just wal

POPSMechanism and function of humor identified by new evolutionary theory "By removing stipulations of content we have been forced to study the structures underlying any instance of humour, and it has become clear that it is not the content of the stimulus but the patterns underlying it that provide the potential for sources of humour. For patterns to exist it is necessary to have some form of content, but once that content exists, it is the level of the pattern at which humour operates and for which it delivers its rewards." Previous theories have only ever applied to a small proportion of all instances of humour, many of them stipulating necessary content or social conditions either in the humour itself or around the individual experiencing it. But this doesn't explain why an individual can laugh at something when no one else around them does, nor why two people can laugh at the same stimulus for different reasons.
