POPSA Real Dick For some people, Jesus is a real prick. What was the lawsuit over? Donohoo filed a defamation lawsuit over a 2003 press release that he argued defamed his client, the Rev. Grant Storms. Storms gave a speech the same year at the "International Conference on Homo-Fascism" in Milwaukee where, according to a recording, he told gay rights opponents that the failure of petitions and lobbying meant they should "start taking it to the streets." Storms then mimicked gunshot sounds and said "There's twenty! Ca-ching, glory, glory to God, let's go drive through the McDonald's and come back to get the rest." Fair Wisconsin accused Storms of advocating murder - mostly because he was - and Storms got Donohoo to sue for defamation.

POPSThe Family: The Hidden Christian Fundamentalist Power in the U.S. A journalist's penetrating look at the untold story of christian fundamentalism's most elite organization, a self-described invisible network dedicated to a religion of power for the powerful They are the Family—fundamentalism's avant-garde, waging spiritual war in the halls of American power and around the globe. They consider themselves the new chosen—congressmen, generals, and foreign dictators who meet in confidential cells, to pray and plan for a "leadership led by God," to be won not by force but through "quiet diplomacy." Their base is a leafy estate overlooking the Potomac in Arlington, Virginia, and Jeff Sharlet is the only journalist to have reported from inside its walls.

POPSThe ‘Useful Idiots’ Of Militant Islam
Saudi-funded publications admonish Muslims in America “to dissociate from infidels, hate them for their religion, never to rely on them for support, and always oppose them in every way according to Islamic law.” The question: how was it that among the estimated five million Muslim Americans with hugely varied institutions, the president’s advisors picked a Saudi Islamofascist ghetto as a venue? A major New York Times Magazine article argued fervently on behalf of “Islamic democrats” singing the praises of a reborn Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. An essay in Foreign Affairs, a weighty establishment publication titled “The Moderate Muslim Brotherhood.” Mild Islamism is an oxymoron. Sharia law, which sanctions beating of wives and stoning for adultery, is irreconcilable with human rights. The Muslim Brotherhood founded Hamas, calls suicide bombings a good thing, and is the 21st-century version of the organized fascism of Hitler and Mussolini in the last century.

POPSIl Duce ...The Fascist State organizes the nation, but leaves a sufficient margin of liberty to the individual; the latter is deprived of all useless and possibly harmful freedom, but retains what is essential; the deciding power in this question cannot be the individual, but the State alone.... Of course this definition has been expanded upon by modern Progressives. The Progressive/Fascists of the early 21st century were more concerned with their individual states. Today's progressives are more motivated by International concerns. Just as large corporations played a role in Wilsonion, Il Duce, and Hitler's fascism, Corporatism is a major driving force today in a Global context. While fascism did reject communism, the ideology was entirely hinged upon State Control in a socialist, non-marxist, style.

POPSWho Is “Fascist”?The abuse and proper use of a political label
In Germany, the Nazis followed in the wake of the Italian Fascists, adding racism in general and anti-Semitism in particular, neither of which was part of Fascism in Italy or in Franco’s Spain. In short, during the 1920s and the early 1930s, Fascism was not only looked on favorably by the Left but recognized as having kindred ideas, agendas, and assumptions. The Nazi variant of Fascism found favor on the Left in the 1920s. Only after Hitler and Mussolini disgraced themselves, mainly by their brutal military aggressions in the 1930s, did the Left distance itself from these international pariahs. Fascism, initially recognized as a kindred ideology of the Left, has since come down to us defined as being on “the Right"— supposedly further extensions of conservatism If by conservatism you mean belief in free markets, limited government, and traditional morality, including religious influences, then these are all things that the Fascists opposed just as much as the Left does t
