POPSWhy Men Should Never Wear Tights “Men have great legs, and hosiery is a great way to show them. It’s quite practical in some ways. It prevents chafing, for example, when horse riding or cycling.” But I would just say to any man thinking of embracing the 20 denier that having to wear tights is one of the very worst things about being a woman. Still, if you don’t mind an itchy crackle-fest around your nether regions, then please be my guest. Oh, and don’t expect your tights to be much of a chick-magnet. In fact, I’d say that mantyhose is probably the perfect gift for the man who never wants to get laid again.

POPSOSCE 'failed' in Georgia warnings Was it deliberate that the reports were ignored? Who else knew of Saakashvili intent to invade? How much more blood is on Bush's hands? The killing of civilians to achieve ethnic cleansing is so reminiscent of Israel methods in the M-East. Of course the Georgian troops were all trained by IDF officers, so any regard for human life is pointless.

POPSThe Ghoul's Glossary: the 2008 Election Withdrawal: A way to avoid the worst consequences of a moment of pleasurable conquest, which, however, often comes too late to avoid years of support payments. Youth vote: The expectation that 21-year-olds will save the nation from the folly of their elders, in preference to gulping shots from the navels of hot barmaids during a Tuesday happy hour. Zionism: The theory that because Nazis hated Jews, the latter would be much better off all gathered together on disputed land in the midst of 300 million Arabs and Iranians.

POPSRussia is buying off our closest neighbors The U.S. move to place missile defense systems in Poland and the Czech Republic is being viewed as antagonistic by Russia. Their answer is to sell military weaponry to U.S. neighbors. Latin America and South American countries are being used as pawns in a new form of arms-race. Venezuela and Bolivia, have expelled their U.S. ambassadors. The geo-political map is changing and the U.S. is losing ground. This is yet another foreign relations failure that can only be blamed on the Bush administration. The next administration needs to do some old-fashioned diplomatic manuvering to prevent another Cuban missile crisis. I hope they are up for it.

POPSDouble Standards What do you call it when just over 3 thousand people were killed in the September 11 attack on the US? – An atrocity. What do you call it when nearly 5 million people were killed in the Vietnam war? – A mistake. What do you call it when very rich people exploit poor people? – Greed and selfishness. What do you call it when very rich countries exploit poor countries? – Globalization. What do you call it when someone carrying a gun enters your house and steals your valuable possessions? – An armed robbery. POPSOPEC Cuts Oil Production: NATO Not Happy. NATO, i.e. the EU and the United States. "Scandalous." says British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. IMO, The best thing I think we could do is make it our highest priority to produce alternative energies (and cut energy use-conserve) We should make this a WAR. The WAR to fund and find ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES. This is the Obama Plan --and, of course, it was and is the thinking of many in Europe and around the world. McCain wants to: "Drill, baby drill!" But Obama is right, we can't drill ourselves out of this problem. If we spent as much money as we now spend on the war in Iraq (12-14 billions a month?) I seriously think we could do it...not just on the science we know now but the science we could discover as we move forward (like we discovered the A-bomb at end of WWII...we could discover the "A-Bomb of Alternative Energy." Worst idea? > Using the lie of spreading Freedom and Democracy to invade and occupy more oil rich countries.

POPSIraqi oil up for sale If the conspiracy theory that western oil companies egged on U.S. and British governments to invade Iraq were true, the plan could backfire on them and benefit rivals in Asia instead, he said, adding: “It is possible the American Army has provided the economic stability that will encourage Malaysian, Chinese and other Asian companies to become involved.”

POPSDangers of "Group Think" Evident in March to War These are characteristics of most all groups, especially highly charged political parties which are easily recognized here. Note the silence of individuals plays a key role in conformity. Speak up! Collective Rationalization reminds me of the "group think" that led America to war against Iraq (per the neoconservatives preconceived plans), even though it did not harbor terrorists or attack the U.S., just because Bush and Cheney, after 9/11, said so. This same "group think" is within the entire story of 9/11 and the Collective Rationalization for a continued "war on terrorism" to invade other countries at will. GROUP THINK MUST BE CHALLENGED TO PREVENT UNJUST WARS. Number 8 (did not have room to clip) is here: Mindguards: Some members appoint themselves to the role of protecting the group from adverse information that might threaten group complacency.

POPSPterodactyl-inspired Robot To Master Air, Ground And Sea The drones have put us into the world of science fiction. The sole purpose for the development is war. Be it that they may save lives ( the last concern of present govts, if the treatment of troops who served in Iraq is any guide), it would seem easier not to invade countries.

POPSCan You Really Love Your Country? I support the innocent victims and the soldiers who were lied to and tricked into fighting in Iraq. But after the lies and evil were exposed and the truth came out , for all others who still choose to enlist and who still choose to pick up arms against innocent people and to knowingly aid in the occupation and devastation of an innocent sovereign nation ...then no. They get no sympathy from me. There's a big difference between being a soldier and being a mercenary. Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painful to change. There is pride in that, even arrogance, but there is also experience and truth. In any event, it is the only way we can live. - Senator Edward M. Kennedy,

POPSYemen a refuge for Al-Qaeda? Hmmmm. How can we invade Yemen plus have enough forces left to fight our Iraq and Afghanistan wars as well as invade Iran? And what about all those other countries that harbor terrorists? (I'm just talking of course of the terrorists we currently disapprove of and are not supporting of course.) I guess the problem we have in this country is we don't spend enough on our military to be able to be attacking all these places at once. Ooops, I forgot, we are many trillions in debt. But no big deal, Congress are experts at spending money they don't have. They even spend money our grand kids of the future don't have!

POPSThe rising cost of the Iraq 'surge' Cont.... In other words, the big-name journalists don’t want a discussion about the decision to illegally invade Iraq under false pretenses in 2003 (presumably because they almost all were cheering the invasion on), but instead they want the debate to center entirely on their latest false assumption, that the “surge” has virtually won the war. In reality, the “surge” of about 30,000 additional troops sent to Iraq appears to have been only one factor and – according to military officials interviewed for Bob Woodward’s new book, The War Within – possibly a secondary one in explaining the drop-off in the violence that had made Iraq a living hell.

POPSUS to invade Iran any day now? Hmmm lets see if we make it to the 2008 elections.. I predict that IF Obama wins we will see something occur which will allow bush to suspend elections under his Presidential Directive which actually gives him the right to do this without congressional approval >> please read this white house.gov document.. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html << I'm not kidding!

POPSAyoon wa Azan (A Loudmouth from the Extreme Right) From a wonderful Web site, Watching America, I found this column from Al Hayat, translated from Arabic, I believe, all about Coulter and Lieberman. Isn't it interesting how these two people are reviled even so far from home. I can kinda understand Lieberman being in their consciousness, but Coulter? Amazing!!

POPSWar Mom Takes Hard Line: Warns U.S. Foes When asked whether the United States should be able to invade ally Pakistan in pursuit of terrorists along the Afghanistan border, Palin said, "I believe that America has to exercise all options in order to stop the terrorists who are hellbent on destroying America and our allies." He son Track, 19, joined the Army last summer and is part of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division based at Fort Wainwright near Fairbanks. As governor, Palin spoke at a ceremony there yesterday marking the brigade's 12-month deployment to Iraq beginning next week. Palin spoke at a ceremony there yesterday marking the brigade's 12-month deployment to Iraq beginning next week. Yesterday's ceremony coincided with the seventh anniversary of 9/11. Calling the Iraq mission a "just and vital cause" and predicting victory, Palin said, "America can never go back to that false sense of security that came before Sept. 11, 2001."

POPSHow Rumors Become Conventional Thinking "There are Arabs who hate America, a lot of them, but this is too much,” Mr. Abbas said as he fidgeted with his cellphone. “And look at what happened after this — the Americans invaded two Muslim countries. They used 9/11 as an excuse and went to Iraq. They killed Saddam, tortured people. How can you trust them?”

POPSPakistan Furious Over U.S. Insurgency Everything that Bush accused Russia of (not respecting sovereignty of Georgia) suddenly does not apply. Every invasion of Bush's imperial storm troopers (or under Clinton too for that matter, like Kosovo) is always justified, and any other country acting in self-defense or to defend their jurisdictions (e.g. Russia-S. Ossetia) is condemned. And for you hypocritical democrats who want Obama, he already stated he would do the very same thing, invade Pakistan for the "war on terrorism"! (Objective commentary based on principle must spare none who violate it). The hypocrisy is self evident, yet the MSM does not expose it. The wars will NEVER end until the people make the government stop and refuse to support ANY leader who violates the very restrictive principles of just war and the Constitution.

POPSIRA on the rampage So when is President Bush going to invade Ulster to assist it main ally? Lame Duck President, lame duck ideals, lame duck foreign policies. So which half-wit keeps telling us the war is over? Tony B'liar and his beneficiaries! So this is why they want 42 days detention, to stop people from talking about anything that might improve security. Watch out Britain. We are being suckered into doing something monumentally stupid...to accept what this Government says as truth.

POPSPutin: Bush Tricked Me Into Invading Georgia To Help McCain Beat Obama Does the US have close ties to Georgia? Yes. Has the US been instrumental in modernizing and backing Georgia’s military? Yes. But did the United States instruct Georgia to use such blunt force against separatists in the areas Russia now wants to be independent? Absolutely not. That was Georgia’s call as a sovereign nation, and Putin’s attempt to lay the blame with President Bush is simply a feint to cover his own country’s aggression in this matter. A feint that smells suspiciously Soviet. Remember when the Soviets would back rebels and invade countries all over the world and then claim they were just opposing American imperialism? Well we’re back to that again.
