When you hear the news you get lots of spin sometimes. This clip has the bottom line: Russia will not put nuke missiles on it's border with Poland if the USA takes away it's nuke missiles from Poland. That's it. Don't believe these are not nuke missiles. Don't believe the USA is a nice peace loving country that's only interested in protecting itself. And, My God! --Don't believe, as this clip shows is in the article, don't believe that the USA putting nuke missiles in Poland on the Russian border is for protection from Iran. Protection from Iran!? Yet, this is what the USA tells it's citizens and tell the world. How frigging dumb ass do we have to be? (This is like the quality of other U.S. propaganda; it seems to be made up by the Muppets). THIS IS A SHOWDOWN. THIS IS A SHOWDOWN WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS. IF THE USA DOES NOT BACK DOWN THE RUSSIANS WILL SHOT; THEY WILL NOT ALLOW NUKE WEAPONS ON THEIR BORDER. I foresee a nuke or two being set off in Europe.

POPSSplit Over Russia Grows in Europe, Re: Missiles. Georgia Russia moving up missiles to their border with Poland (in response to the USA missile base being built there) is no joke. The Russians have also said they have re-targeted their nukes to aim at European cities. This is no joke. Russia is right, imo, and it won't backdown. It can't let a warmongering nation like the U.S. A. put a nuke missile base right on it's border. This is like the Cuban missile crisis of the 60's, except the shoe is on the other foot - and full-tilt nuclear war was threatened. Is anybody in Europe reading this news? What are they going to do? I think hundreds of thousands of their lives are in danger and don't hear much talk or anything be done about it? Obama won't do anything on his own. It would seem to many, as pointed out in this clip, that Obama "would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism " Um....I noticed the delegation from Russia is included in the 10 nations they actually mention. But I've read elsewhere a few times that -- Yes -- even most Russian people on the street like Obama more than McCain. Although the IAEA and the CIA have declared that Iran has no nuclear weapons program, Obama called Iran a "grave threat" for firing 9 missiles during military exercises. One of the missiles has the capacity to reach Israel. Israel recently practiced a simulated bombing run on Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons facility, but no one in the USA government or running for president called Israel a "grave threat." Israeli officials have also been clear they intend to strike Iran if it doesn't give up its nuclear facilities. Yet Israel has nuclear weapons, ones obtained through illegal means according to international law. Undoubtedly, Iran was sending a message with its missile test. The message is "we will defend ourselves." How is that wrong when they have been threatened by Israel?

Obama has appointed two leading apologists for jobs offshoring as his economic advisors -- Bill Clinton’s Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin and Rubin associate Jason Furman. These two are notorious for their justifications of policies that benefit Wall Street, CEOs, and large retailers at the expense of the economic well-being and careers of millions of Americans. As a result of offshoring, good jobs in America are disappearing. The Bureau of Labor Statistics job figures make it totally clear that the US economy has ceased creating net new middle class jobs in the private economy in the 21st century.

POPSImpeach Bush Resolution - One More Try Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that there will be no consideration of impeachment proceedings against Bush and said the idea was "off the table." So I guess this means this second effort is also going nowhere. Why does the Democratic leadership continue to refuse to do this? Is having oral sex in the White House with a willing 24-year old worse that killing 5,000 US troops, killing over 100,000 Iraqi citizens, displacing millions, spending trillions, etc.? At least the 35 points for impeachment that Kucinich spelled out are a nice summary of Bush's war crimes and may prove useful after Bush leaves office. Unfortunately, while the Democrats must be voted for this election,IMO, they seems to have no guts for a real showdown, not wanting to "upset the apple cart," as they trundle along to a presumed election landslide. Who knows? Maybe they have a point; although if Bush attacks Iran that point is quite lost. Note: None of this was printed in a USA newspaper.

POPSTalking to the Taliban. More Peace Talks. Well is this appeasement? Peace seems to be breaking out despite Bush. That's Korea now and Afghanistan! Where next? Obviously this took the White House by surprise or we'd have Rice as usual flying in to breakup the party. Now he'll have to nuke Iran to keep the money flowing in to his contractors and banks.

USA Today reports that, " ecades of... pollution have allowed industrial poisons to leach into groundwater, contaminating drinking supplies and leading to a rash of cancers, residents say. In this village, where the air has a distinctive sour odor, the rate of cancer is more than 18 times the national average. Meanwhile, the world's worst polluters continue choking the atmosphere with toxic fumes and poisons.
