POPSFinally, Rudy's 9/11 Lies are Being Exposed I've been waiting impatiently, for Mr. Giuliani's lies to begin catching up with him. He has been running all over the country claiming to be an "expert on terrorism," and Islamofascism. Some voters, outside the New York metropolitan area, are falling for his story hook, line and sinker. But now, his own words given during testimony he gave to the 9/11 commission are leaking into the media, and it tells a very different story. It presents a person who knows virtually nothing about terrorism, al Qaeda or bin Laden. He proves the falsity of his claims concerning the inadequate radios his fire fighters were forced to use that fateful day, along with other information that paints a very different picture from the one he has been unveiling for the public during the campaign.

POPSThe Worst Editorial Decision of Broadcast News Another example of the disfunction of the liberal mind. It was liberal political correctness and glorification of diversity that allowed the killer to return to the streets, insane and untreated. Liberals prevented the opportunity for some victims to be armed in order to defend themselves. And now liberals air the videos of a maniac which will certainly impress and inspire future maniacs to kill more innocents. Why worry about the threat of islamofascism? We have a greater threat right in our midst. Liberalism will certainly bring down our civilization.

POPSNeo-Cons on Iran: From Ignorant to downright Insane This is a worthy article in general - one of the better ones you'll see fro Krugman (although it is still annoyingly conversational, at least he isn't Maureen Dowd!) He makes a good point: that fear is what our leaders embrace, not courage. I'm sick and tired of Americans who are scared. I for one am not scared of terrorists, and anyone who lives their life in fear is an idiot. (Probably a manipulated idiot.) But the real gem is when Krugman calls it like it is on Iran. Podhorertz and others like him have departed so far from reality that they are basically making things ups as they go along. I expect next that Commentary will be linking Iran to Voldemort, Darth Vader, and the Dark Lord Sauron. They are so blatantly disconnected from reality, and yet, people listen to them! That's the part I don't understand. Even a student in a High School Social Studies class should be able to tell you the difference between Iran and Al Qaeda.

POPSRHETORIC OF HATE In case you didn't know this week is "Islamo-Fascist Awareness week on over 200 campuses" If that makes you as sick as it makes me wear green to show your support for the islamic world, muslim americans, and just being a human f*cking being. This is the rhetoric of hatred and intolerance - FIGHT IT.

POPSBush: No more Islamist jihads. Obliterated are jihadists, mujahideen, Islamofascist. So no more "glamorising terrorism, or imbues terrorists with religious authority they do not have and so damaging relations with Muslims around the world." Pity he didn't realize this BEFORE he sullied America's name in the Muslim world. Bit late now to smell the grass. You might expect to know what you should call your Muslim friends now. Well 'the memo warns: "Don't compromise our credibility" by using words and phrases that may ascribe benign motives to terrorists' but no useful info for the few neocon clippers. I expect it'll be back to swiftboating now.

POPSA Legitimate National Debate "Some conservatives shared that view at the time and even more do now, most prominently William F. Buckley and George Will. If you are vocal, or literary, on behalf of this sensibility, you are eligible to receive disagreement but not disrespect." "The same holds true if you maintain the war was a great idea at the time, the best available choice in the circumstances, but the resultant bog offers no benefit for our lingering. Here again you can make a case that proceeds from the premise that people of good will proceeded with good intentions to undertake an effort in good faith but deduces that fate did not produce a good result. Nothing undermining about saying we made a good investment but the company flopped and it is time to cut our losses. This is the language good people use when they participate in constructive debate."

POPSChristians Martyred in Turkey by Muslims The article is worth your time to read in full. While I highlighted the torture, the article is more of a call to pray for the Muslims and the work of the Christian church in Turkey.
