POPSA Plan to End the Crisis With Iran Just so nobody can say I only criticize Bush, I offer here a plan to immediately end the crisis with Iran. Ahmadinejad is an aggressive, anti-Western president who is isolating Iran, much to the chagrin of the Iranians. The economy is weak, and it is getting harder for people to make a living, which is causing unrest. On the other hand, his predecessor Khatami was a progressive, who wanted relations with the west, and had a good record on the economy. I suggest that we use these factors in to our advantage in the following plan: (see comments bellow.)

POPSHuckabee Defends Advocating Isolation of AIDS Had the government taken such a stand when the number of those infected was small, how many lives would have been saved? But then like now, the PC merely labels logic thought as bigotry and reject reason.

POPSIs anyone surprised? Meanwhile, back at the homefront, soldiers and their families continue to bear the burden and suffering of the present conflicts, ALONE. Often, those who express their deepest concern and have the highest level of awareness, are NOT in a position of power to do anything about the present debacle, and the coming avalanche of human misery. We veterans and families of military easily discuss our expereinces of betrayal we have with our governmental agencies and organizations. Yet we are somehow silent when we look at or sit next to our neighbor and fellow citizens. We accept our isolation and alienation as our fate as if we will always be misunderstood or disregarded misfits.

POPSA Melancholy Bush Legacy Although opinions may very, I personally don't think Bush will have any significant legacy at all. Most of his best ideas were either glib comments in State of the Union addresses (Hydrogen Cars, Mars etc.) or things he talked about but never followed through on (the promised funding for AIDS research and even some assistance to 9/11 victims has yet to actually be allocated.) Empty promises may be impressive now, but they won't be in a hundred years when the rhetoric has faded. So what will people say of Bush once he has passed out of living memory? Conservatives seem to cling to him as a symbol of the strength of their ideas, because he won't compromise and doesn't blink when he continues to push the conservative agenda against mounting popular opposition. But he won't be a conservative rallying cry forever. What actual achievements will last in the record of history?
