POPSBerkeley College:Arabs Attack Jewish Students
Husam Zakharia, who also attacked one of the performers, Yehuda De Sa. The fight was finally broken up by John Moghtader, a senator in the UC Berkelely student organization. Police were called in and arrested Zakharia along with others from his group, charging them with battery. Witnesses said that the Arab students shouted anti-Semitic curses and epithets throughout the incident, calling the Jews “Nazis” and “dogs,” and threatening to kill them. According to one witness, as many as 20 anti-Israel students participated in the attacks. In a statement, the Zionist Freedom Alliance said “we call on state officials, the President of the University of California, the Chancellor, the Dean of Students, faculty, and the student body to take a unified stand against the continued harassment of Jewish and pro-Israel students on this campus, particularly by members of Students for Justice in Palestine,” the anti-Israel group whose leaders began the incitement and attacked the concert goers.

POPSObama's 'Change' and Rahm-bo: Neo-conned Again? This article, if read, will burst the bubble of belief by Obama cheerleaders. (Did Pelosi or a Dem Congress change anything either?) Roberts does not spare Obama any more than he did Bush: War policy: In “Hail to the Chief of Staff,” Alexander Cockburn describes Emanuel as “a super-Likudnik hawk,” who as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006 “made great efforts to knock out antiwar Democratic candidates.” The neoconservatives were and are intimately tied to the Israeli Likud Party with its militant Zionist war agenda for a "new middle east". On Economy: Obama’s advisers are drawn from the same gang of Washington thugs and Wall Street banksters as Bush’s. Consider Obama's support of Lieberman then too, who supported McCain and is another "super-Likudnik hawk" when it comes to Israel and war policy. Get the picture yet? Some very important policies (primary ones) will not "change" at a

POPSRudd's UN Vote Risks Anger of Jewish community In Israel, meanwhile, tens of thousands gathered yesterday at the square in Tel Aviv where PM Rabin was assassinated, to remember the man and his legacy 13 years after his murder. On Nov 4, 1995, Rabin was gunned down by an ultra-nationalist Jewish opponent of his policy of trading land to the Palestinians for peace. "Yitzhak, you are missed. The country misses you, you are missed by every one of us, but your way has not been lost," said President Peres, Rabin's partner in peacemaking, who was by his side the night he was assassinated. The rally in the square in front of the Tel Aviv town hall has become an annual event for Israelis wishing to pay their respects to their late leader.

POPSConned Again My despondent friends in the Israeli peace movement ask, “What is this man doing in Obama’s administration?” This is a very interesting article on Obama's choice of staff and if there will be a real change or not.

POPSObama's First Pick an Israeli for Chief of Staff This reported by Israeli press, in their words. What kind of foreign policy and war policy "change" does this forecast versus that of the neoconservatives of the Bush administration? the son of a Jerusalem-born pediatrician who was a member of the Irgun (Etzel or IZL), a militant Zionist group that operated in Palestine between 1931 and 1948.

POPSRubin: My Friend, the "Neo-Nazi" I could say, I know him, he has been a guest in my home in New York and in my rented house in Provence, he bears absolutely no resemblance to the image these despicable people are trying to project of him, and lot's more. I could point out that I am Jewish and have VISIBLE JEWISH ARTIFACTS IN MY HOME, which did not appear to alarm Rashid, if he even noticed them, but it is all just so ridiculous I don't know what to say.

POPSPaul McCartney Becomes Terrorist Target
"Our enemy's friend is our enemy," the Muslim leader told the Sunday Express. A defiant McCartney has refused to cancel the Sept. 25 concert, despite protests from numerous political groups angry with Israel's policies in the West Bank. He told newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth: "I was approached by different groups and political bodies who asked me not to come here. I refused. I do what I think, and I have many friends who support Israel," McCartney said in an interview with newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth. McCartney will perform hits from his Beatles days and his solo career during a September 25 concert in Tel Aviv as part of a series of shows that has taken McCartney to cities he never visited before. Asked about how members of the Beatles, one of the most popular bands in rock history, felt when the Israeli government scrapped their concert in 1965 on the grounds it could corrupt the nation's youth, McCartney said it was "a bit insulting, the thought we could corrupt the youth."
