POPSIsrael Wants to Attack Iran, US Military Aid Denied Israel is impotent without the U.S.. They have always used America in their own war agendas. Note the strategic importance in the big picture of Iraqi air space which this Israeli news article mentions! This is just one reason why Israel and the neocon agenda demanded regime change in Iraq, which clears the way for further wars of aggression in the region by Israel, under a pretense of a "war on terrorism" (which both Obama and McCain will continue). Note too that while the US has been somewhat restraining Israel, this is mentioned too: Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in private discussions, even raised the possibility that the U.S. was considering an attack in the transition period between the election in November and the inauguration of the new president in January 2009.

POPSRice Says She Won't Block Strikes Against Nuclear Sites "We don't say yes or no to Israeli military operations; Israel is a sovereign country," Ms. Rice said. "Every day that the centrifuges continue to spin brings Iran closer to a nuclear weapons capability and threatens the stability and security of the region and the world," Israel's ambassador in Washington, Sallai Meridor, said. "The international community should immediately apply additional robust sanctions." The Security Council, which has imposed three rounds of mild sanctions on Iran since 2006, has traditionally taken its time before agreeing on compromise action that manages to satisfy Russia, China, and several European countries that prefer conducting business with Iran to halting its nuclear run . The process is also very slow, the American U.N. ambassador, Zalmay Khalilzad, acknowledged yesterday.

POPSUN to Fact Check US/Israeli Bombing of Syria Nuke Site Two questions: 1. what took so long? 2. who gave the UN any authority to limit who has nuclear energy or weapons? The UN is a global gang that has usurped authority to itself, and looks the other way when its members want. We will see what conclusion they draw versus the unsubstantiated US and Israeli allegations before they invaded and bombed a sovereign country, which was probably an attempt to provoke war as the neocons want.

POPSPalestine: A Letter to the Peace Movement
Thousands of Palestinians are imprisoned in Israeli detention centers where there is reported use of torture. People die at Israeli checkpoints because they cannot get to medical facilities. Palestinians are being denied water, food and medical supplies. Palestinians have to endure continual attacks by jets, helicopters and drones used for assassinations (which are illegal by international law) that also kill many civilians. According to Chris Hedges (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19127.htm), since 2000, 1033 Israelis have died and 4,437 Palestinian have died from this conflict. 119 of these deaths were Israeli children and 971 have been Palestinian children. All these deaths are a waste of life, but these numbers also show that the fault is not equal between the Israelis and Palestinians. The fault lies with the aggressor and the occupier. When people live under a brutal occupation, have their lands stolen, their houses destroyed, orchards wiped out by bulldozers

POPSU.S. Bombed Syria, Not Israel, says Jerusalem Post Is this propaganda from an Israeli paper or true? If true then... We should DEMAND an explanation then to know why the President (sic) Bush did not get on TV and tell the American people that "today, U.S. pilots bombed a Syrian facility which we believed was being constructed for nuclear enrichment projects". At least Reagan did this when we bombed Libya and Kadafi. But this was done IN STEALTH....WE HAD TO READ ABOUT IT IN A FOREIGN NEWSPAPER, which shows the media's absolute complicity in this censorship! He did not even inform Congress, if this is true! An act of war on another country, Syria, is precisely what the secretive neocons (including Cheney) have been wanting. There is no proof to their allegation, which both Syria and North Korea disavowed (claim was N Korea had sent nuke equipment to Syria for constructing facility). THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, which is why the story broke on Friday (news dump day)!

POPSChina's Betrayal Of Israel:Fighter Jets Sale To Iran At a time when U.S. and Israeli officials are increasingly considering the heavy burden of having to attack Iran’s nuclear weapons related facilities, China’s sale of the J-10 to Iran may signal the beginning of a deeper Chinese effort to protect Iran’s nuclear aspirations, much as it has ensured North Korea’s nuclear weapons development. The J-10’s defensive capabilities would be formidable, as would its ability to perform all-weather strikes with new precision guided weapons against Israeli or U.S. targets. For Israel a J-10 sale to Iran would mark a sobering betrayal of Israel’s considerable efforts to help China’s military modernization, to include its substantial help with the J-10 program, and one of its air-to-air missiles, both of which may apparently arm Iran.

POPS'So close to war' Read the entire article. The things we don't know would, indeed, scare us to death and cause us to panic. I'm content to live in my 'world' and *pretend* that my children/grandchildren will have the life that I did. America....beware who you choose to be the Leader of our Country and the Protector of our way-of-life.

POPS Israeli's Raid---One Possible Explanation aviationweek.com Iran bought 29 of the Tor launchers from Russia for $750 million to guard its nuclear sites, and they were delivered in Jan., according to Agency France-Press and ITAR-TASS. Syrian press reports they were tested in February. They also are expected to form a formidable system when used with the longer-range S-300/SA-10 which Iran has been trying to buy from Russia. Syria has operated SA-6s for years and more recently has been negotiating with Russians for the Tor-M1. What systems were actually guarding the Syrian site are not known.

POPSIsrael admits air strike on Syria I believe I have the answer. Only recently Russia sold a new missile defence system to Iran and Syria. If the U.S. is going to invade Iran, they need to identify the capabilities of this new missile system. It is easier to strike Syria and build up a picture of what they are facing, this is good military sense. But bad news for the world if it is true. The U.S. military always softens up it's target with air strikes, I believe around or after Christmas it is going to kick off.

POPSWhat Happened on September 6, 2007? Another possibility is that Israel preemptively destroyed a planned nuclear site in Syria and did the world an enormous favor, much like what it did in 1981 when it attacked the Osirak nuclear site in Iraq.

POPSIsraeli air strike did not hit nuclear facility in Syria.......- More info coming out. Dangerous stuff going on there. Israeli fighter jets have been sent to the Golan area a couple of times these last several days because of planes approaching. We're hearing that one Syrian fighter 'disappeared'; perhaps crashed, returned or was dispersed.

POPSBush: War Criminal's Crimes; Mass Murderer; WarMonger, Bush wants to murder more. We have to kill Iranians "over there," Bush says, "before they come over here." There is no possibility that Iranians or any Muslims who have no air force, no navy, no modern military technology are going to "come over here," and no indication that they plan to do so. The Muslims are disunited and have been for centuries. That is what makes them vulnerable to colonial rule. If Muslims were united, the US would already have lost its army in Iraq. Indeed, it would not have been able to put an army in Iraq. Lacking US troops with which to invade Iran, the Bush administration has decided to bomb Iran "back into the stone age." Punishing air and missile attacks have been designed not merely to destroy Iran’s nuclear energy projects, but also to destroy the public infrastructure, the economy, and the ability of the government to function. ... http://www.lewrockwell.com/roberts/roberts222.html
