POPSPlastic Surgery Below the Belt "The medicalization of sex,"; the idea that there is a physical right and wrong when it comes to all things sexual. "Promoting a very narrow definition of what women's genitals ought to look like — even for those women who don't want surgery, it harms them." Broadly speaking, these surgeries may meet the World Health Organization's criteria for female genital mutilation as "procedures that intentionally alter or injure female genital organs for non-medical reasons." This kind of cosmetic surgery can interfere with advocates' ability to fight forced ritual mutilation in places like Africa. Designer vaginas "are considered reasons for not throwing stones, so to speak, at other cultures," she says. One of the most common reasons women cite in seeking the surgery, some doctors say, is a negative comment from a disgruntled sexual partner. The best way to start enjoying your body could be far simpler than surgery: "You may need a new boyfriend."

POPSBiblical Hate Group "We're not leaving the Episcopal Church," he said, echoing Ronald Reagan's quip about the Democratic Party. "The Episcopal Church has left us." Of course, any church will be better off without people in its congregation who are determined to oppose other folks' way of life. Maybe they can name the new, split, congregation something that will tell prospective members that they are expected to be intolerant. May I suggest Episcopal Church of the Damned?

POPSHurrah for the Millennials! When it comes to policy, Millennials are liberal interventionists on economic issues, active multilateralists in foreign affairs and tolerant non-meddlers on social issues-a profile that most closely matches the Democratic Party's platform as well as the new President's agenda. Their propensity to vote straight Democratic was clearly evident in 2008 when young voters supported Democratic congressional candidates by about the same margin that they did Obama (63% vs. 34%).
