POPSDumbledore gay. At first I thought that this was merely a case of too much information, but, thinking back, I can see where it did make a difference in Dumbledore's past.

POPSDoes Harry Potter have enough power to keep people reading? It has been my fear that once Harry and his friends finish their adventures, there would be no hype left for reading. While JK Rowling's books have brought many people back to the bookstores and libraries, it doesn't look like the media and general pop culture want to get behind anyone else. That is a total shame, because there are hundreds of better written books and series out there, in my opinion, that should (have) take(n) over. If we could all just spread suggestions by word of mouth, perhaps that will get at least some people reading something- which is definitely better than nothing! For 8-12 year old readers, I'd suggest: Bone and Abadazad Artemis Fowl and all other books by Eoin Colfer Doctor Illuminatus and other books by Martin Booth books by Cornelia Funke, Jonathan Stroud Crispin by Avi The Mismantle Chronicles G. Korman's survival series books Louis Sacchar, John Scieska [do check spellings- I'm on summer vacat

POPSEnid Blyton & J.K. Rowling - a comparison of sorts I grew up reading Enid Blton's books, about 90% of my books as a child were by Enid Blyton. I don't really want to compare the 2 authors and their work, even though the similarities are there. I didn't need a box spring at all...all my books held my mattress up :D

POPSBooks like Harry Potter There's a longer list on the website. The NY Times says 3/4 of young Harry Potter readers are "interested in reading other books." Great--let's make sure they find some good ones!

POPSJK Rowling And The Made For TV Documentary British telvision cameras have been following JK Rowling for the past twelve months as she wrote the final book in her wildly popular 'Harry Potter' series. No word yet if the series will be seen on American TV. --Ann Rafalko

POPSHappy Anniversary Harry Potter I'm just so excited about the upcoming film and much-anticipated final book that I just had to clip this. The idea of a Harry Potter themed amusement park is also very intriguing. I wonder what the future holds for the Harry Potter universe and franchise, and what J.K. Rowling will end up doing involving a profession, and as a celebrity, come 1, 5 or 10 years down the road.

POPSHarry Potter Theme Park This article was in the bbc news online headlines. I, as a member of the worldwide Harry Potter groupie fan club, am very interested in seeing a theme park like area dedicated to this amazing and imaginative series. I believe this will bring in lots of money as well as entertaining it's guests. I look forward to visiting this Harry Potter themed mini amusement park.
