POPSVoters oust Clark as NZ turns right The change of power is more because Helen is seen as the NZ scapegoat for the world's turmoil. She has done a great job of keeping the Kiwi identity alive. New Zealand has not buckled under outside pressures because of Helen. Time for a well earned rest.

POPSRepublican Foot-Soldiers Vacating Washington Forced To Sell Homes In Terrible Market What was that about a "Permanent Republican Majority?" Speak louder, there's an immense chant of "YES WE CAN" in my ear. I have little to no sympathy. These are the foot-soldiers who've done Karl Rove's dirty work for 8 years. The fucking country imploded on their watch, due to their candidate's policies. They were the party in power that caused this massive housing bubble explosion and econopocalypse. Payback's a bitchs, ain't it? Go wander in the wilderness for a while and get your party's soul back. And if someone has to take it in the ass with no reach-around on their house, you're the ones who fought so hard for the system that led to this. Just shut up & go away. You hands-on fuckers aren't the people the John Wayne Chaser was meant for.

POPSMcCain Raises Fear of Nuclear Shootout with Russia
In 1962 was "The Cuban Missile Crisis," when President John Kenney got on TV and publicly announced that if the Russian used any one single one of their nuclear missiles in Cuba that the United States would launch a full-scale nuclear attack against the Soviet Union. McCain was there. Apparently he would like to be there again, an assigned target, on the deck of his aircraft carrier, go to go. Do we really want this flyboy in office!? Another old John Wayne cowboy acting out his wet dreams in public!? It's scary. People in the States in 62 freaked out. They woke up everyday wondering if this was going to be the day the world would end, had we got to the point of nuclear annihilation at last. Funny enough (ha ha) the USA (and now Europe) are in a similar missile bases crisis. The USA is building a missile base in Poland, on the Russia border. Russia has said: "Remove those missiles or we will attack." (yes...yes they have). Now...do you want McCain or Obama in charge a

POPSThink we’re tough? Think again
the war is illegal. Therefore, regardless the “provocation,” every person in Iraq who has been killed by a U.S. soldier, or died as a result of the occupation/invasion, has been murdered -- with the blood squarely traceable to America’s hands. So now, we just spill guts. Nonetheless, I’m sure if you look really, really hard, you may find some folks who consider those troops, and tons more like ‘em, to be real Americans, cut from the same cloth as the super-patriot archetype so frequently portrayed and firmly established decades ago by John Wayne. I wonder, though, how many of them would know Wayne never served in the military, receiving not one but two deferments during World War II. In other words, his persona was an illusion. And so, apparently, is the one we Americans have collectively assigned ourselves since childhood, that of liberty’s uncompromising defender who, upon sensing the slightest hint of mortal danger to the Constitution, would, along with a nation full of eq

POPSJohn McCain Comedy Club One commenters response: "Your snarky sarcasm proves that McCain's ads are definitely arousing fear in those who do not wish McCain to win." We are in fear of a McBush win because America's downward spiral of world opinion towards us, our economy, or ethical and moral values, our morale as a nation under siege by neocon intelligence gathering goons at the NSA and Homeland security needs to stop and McBush has vowed to continue Bush's attack on all of us through his shredding of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

POPSGOP Fights For Expedited Delivery Of Ballots To Military In 2000 military ballots were targeted for challenge in the famous Florida recount , and only 48% of the overseas members of the military who requested absentee ballots for the 2006 election had their ballots counted, according to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Conservatives believe that members of Congress should fight as hard for the right of our military to vote as our military has fought to allow Iraq to have a constitutional democracy. Sens. Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas), along with Reps. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are engaging in legislative combat for the rights of our military to vote in the 2008 election.

POPSTOP 20 WORST CASTING DECISIONS EVER Part IV (#1!!!!)
Oh, Keanu... At least Mike Myers worked past Wayne's World... and others know when they are in over their head. I love ya Kid but you really are missing that je ne sais quoit, that invisible element called charisma and presence. Hell, the PHONE BOOTH had more presence in the Bill and Ted Series! Do what every other bad actor did when he found he was over his head: play non-speaking roles or Native Americans! Hell, Jack Palance learned to act playing heavies and Indians and by his 70s he had his Oscar! Well, at least your debut was better than Costner and I am not talking about "Flyers" the Cycling movie. Costner began his career as the stiff (literally) in the coffin that brought old friends back together for his funeral in The Big Chill. He had over 4 minutes of footage taken with him in the casket and the editors dropped it to just over 4 seconds for release. You at least had a starring role and look, Ashton Kutcher is in your footsteps!

POPSTOP 20 WORST CASTING DECISIONS EVER Part III (#6 - #2) Hepburn - The Queen Katherine Sank. Costner - The Prince of Thieves Stank (Don't get me started on Costner! WE have "issues!") Hopkins - The Knight switched sides from white to black and failed the Gambit... Wayne - The Duke as the Scourge of God? Just wait a damn minute! Now I am dying to see what they rated as the worst!

POPSGOP Illegal Immigrant Hypocrite/Chickenhawk, Tom Tancredo (also Pres. Candidate barf) More: During the renovation process, two illegal workers hired by Tancredo were alerted to his reputation for immigrant bashing. They went straight to the Denver Post to complain. Tancredo "doesn't want us here, but he'll take advantage of our sweat and our labor," one of the workers complained to the Post on September 19, 2002. "It's just not right." Only days before the Post's story appeared, Tancredo had personally reported an honor student profiled in the Denver Post to the INS because the 14-year-old was not a legal resident of the United States. What kind of people actually vote for subhumans like Tancredo?
