POPSDid Valerie Plame Wilson Commit Perjury? But, that is no excuse for the Valerie Wilson-Plame to sit in front of a Congressional Committee and LIE like she did. This is what Valerie Plame said sworn testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform: Plame also testified that she played no part in deciding to send her husband, former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, on a mission to Niger in 2002 to assess the reliability of reports that Iraq's then-president, Saddam Hussein, was trying to buy yellowcake uranium from that country for use in a secret nuclear weapons program. Some CPD officials could not recall how the office decided to contact the former ambassador, however, interviews and documents provided to the Committee indicate that his wife, a CPD employee, suggested his name for the trip. The CPD reports officer told Committee staff that the former ambassador's wife "offered up his name" and a memorandum to the Deputy Chief of the CPD on February 12, 2002.

POPSIt Must Suck Being Joseph "Yellow-Cake" Wilson IV Now! In his speech, Ambassador Joseph Wilson described himself as the investigator sent to Niger by the government and says the government sent him there and not the CIA (a lie). Wilson said there was nothing to the uranium story (another lie), described the US as "occupiers" of Iraq (a shocking statement at the time), and described a conspiracy to help Israel dominate the Palestinians. Joe Wilson repeated the lie for several years that the Iraq was not seeking uranium from Niger even though five days after Wilson's NYT op-ed, George Tenet put out a statement describing how the person the CIA sent to check out the Niger story (Joe Wilson) found that the Iraqis had indeed tried to open up trade talks, which were interpretted by government officials in Niger as an attempt to purchase uranium ore. POPSMcClellan On Valerie Plame
On page 173 McClellan first mentions my Plame leak, but he does not identify Armitage as the leaker until page 306 of the 323-page book, then only in passing. Armitage, anti-war and anti-Cheney, cannot fit the conspiracy theory When Armitage after two years publicly admitted he was my source, the life went out of Wilson's campaign. In "What Happened," McClellan dwells on Rove's alleged deceptions as if the real leaker were still unknown McClellan writes that Rove told him this about his conversation with me after I called him to check Armitage's leak: "He (Novak) said he'd heard that Wilson's wife worked at the CIA. I told him I couldn't confirm it because I didn't know." Rove told me last week he never said that to McClellan. McClellan writes, "I don't know" whether the leaker -- he does not specify Armitage -- committed a felony. Fitzgerald's long, investigation found no violation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, if only because Plame was not covered.

POPSHow To Brainwash A Nation Visit clip source for a great short video about Edward Bernays, Assassin of Democracy. Videos tend to get buried. I thought this to be worth wider attention.

POPSWilson is right on... ...as he is an honest human being, unlike Bush and his hired guns of scum. Honesty, Mr. Bush is something that doesn't run in your family or your circle of nazi's...., patsies..., liars and thieves.

POPSCheney Says He and His Honchos are Above the Law. Cheney actually has the chutzpah to demand that the lawsuit filed against him by Valerie Plame and her husband Joseph Wilson should be thrown out because the leaking of her name and position at the CIA was, essentially, all in a day's work. I wonder what it must feel like to be working in a sewer if that is the case.

POPSWhy Libby's Pardon Is a Slam Dunk A very well written and smart editorial by Frank Rich in today's N.Y.Times.Without mincing any words he clearly points out the need for Bush and Chaney to placate Libby before he gets sick and tired of taking the blame for this SHAMEFUL administrations actions.

POPSThe Scapegaot Takes the Fall "scooter" Libby is the pure definition of what a scapegoat is... It's sad. He DOES need to be punished, but how high up did this go? where are the others? why is no one pushing for a deeper investigation about Cheney! turning against your own is not something to be take lightly ... scapegoat: I.LEWIS "SCOOTER" LIBBY aka. someone punished for the errors of others

POPSA Case for Impeachment Evidence from the Scooter Libby trial shows that the Valerie Plame outing is small potatoes in comparison to the deliberate fabrication of evidence that led the United States into an ill-conceived war. Did Bush know that he lied to the Nation when he claimed in his State of the Union speech that Saddam Hussein planned to obtain enriched uranium from Niger? I've often wondered why Bush rewarded Tenet with the Medal of Freedom when at the time he was considered to have failed in his job to prevent 9/11 and the supposed weapons of mass destruction had not been found. An impeachment trial is needed to answer many questions about the conduct of this Administration.

POPSCheney very upset! Remember the Bush statement to the press at the beginning of all this.....that anyone connected with this leak would have to answer to him. As usual, his gunslinger talk is "all hat and no cattle"!

POPSWho Can You Really Believe? Amazing how a person who talks to the press and public every day, when confronted with having to testify under oath to what he said, will only do so with immunity, in order to protect himself from the lies he said he wasn't telling in the first place.

POPSSF Author: Robert Shea The Illuminati: inside joke - or hellish conspiracy? Were they harmless cranks? Or a hellish conspiracy of psychotic lost souls hidden for centuries, unleashing a weird evil on an unsuspecting, defenceless world? It was Saul Goodman's lousy luck to pick up the trail from some underground memos in a bombed-out office. It was the heavy case he always dreaded. So it was that one tired cop set out on a wild, bizarre quest for a secret society that spanned centuries, crossed continents, drugged generations - and stooped to any depth of degradation to self-destruct a whole world.. In the far-out vein of Vonnegut's humour and Castaneda's mind-games, here is Illuminatus - part 1 - the closest thing to a cosmic kaleidoscope between soft covers. Or a bone-freezing blueprint of disaster to come? The Eye in the Pyramid (The first book in the Illuminatus! series)
