POPSBoycott The New York Times Petition Whereas The New York Times has spent decades maligning conservatives, misreporting campaign news (to favor the more liberal candidate), sneering at patriotism, denigrating America and undermining Judeo-Christian morality. Whereas, The New York Times sets the agenda for the mainstream (establishment) media, and is widely copied by other media outlets. Whereas The New York Times consistently violates journalistic ethics - including a duty to be accurate, impartial and balanced in news coverage.

POPSThe Cloward-Piven Strategy "Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one.

POPSBanner fiasco. AU responds with reason. This is a great take on this banner issue. The judge shouldn't allow the banner, but the judge was justified because the school allows other 'personal religious' messages. Answer, the school needs to ban ALL religious messages, save for social study classes. This (and the main) article is being discussed here; http://www.atheistthinktank.net/thinktank/index.php?topic=5162.0 Please join in the discussion.

POPSXena The Cultural Warrior I can see her right now; spear in hand, risking her own life; possibly with her own anti-gay activist Gabrielle by her side . . . Oh, that's soooooooooooooo hot.

POPSThe Long March "much of the wacky, upside-down, right-is-wrong, black-is-white stuff we see in the news these days is directly or indirectly inspired by Gramsci: the attacks on Christianity, the family, individual freedom, morality and moral judgements; multiculturalism; the cult of victimhood, "tolerance," political correctness, the replacement of the roles of family, religion, individual responsibility and choice with government rules, laws, and regs; the expansion of the State and the Welfare State and the Nanny State; anti-tradition, anti-capitalism, anti-success, anti-nationalism, anti-Americanism and anti-Westernism, etc - all the stuff that makes me echo Bob Grant with "It's sick out there, and getting sicker." I am sure Antonio never anticipated that a Green movement would emerge to become an ally of the slow, incrementalist and thus less-alarming Gramscian revolution."

POPSObama, Religion and the Public Square
Yet there is more to Mr. Obama and religion than the recent headlines might suggest. Here is how he put it: "Secularists are wrong when they ask believers to leave their religion at the door before entering into the public square. Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, William Jennings Bryan, Dorothy Day, Martin Luther King – indeed, the majority of great reformers in American history – were not only motivated by faith but repeatedly used religious language to argue for their cause. To say that men and women should not inject their 'personal morality' into public policy debates is a practical absurdity. Our law is by definition a codification of morality, much of it grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition." In his now-famous address to the Greater Houston Ministerial Association in 1960, John Kennedy called for "an America where the separation of church and state is absolute." He went on to state that a president's faith should be "his own private affair."

POPSEurope or Eurabia I am among those who foresee Europe becoming dominated by Islam...and much sooner than anyone expects.

POPSReligious Tests? Once again we're presented with examples of outright bigoted prejudice. Perhaps not surprising if it was put forth from a stereotypical Nascar dad but from a contender to the presidency it seems a bit out of line.

POPSGrandpa McCain Don't Like Them Atheists! Promulgating the idea of bigoted, separatist thought seems to take up a lot of the energies of the Republicans these days. Of course this has been their bread and butter issue for years. Give us someone to hate and forget about the real issues that plague the common man. They're the first to cry foul over class issues but they certainly have no qualms about using them to instill fear and prejudice if it suits their corporate aims.

POPSGore A ``Crook'' Presiding Over An Eco-Business That Pumps Out Cash Allegre doesn't deny that the climate has changed or that extreme weather has become more common. He instead emphasizes the local character of these phenomena. While the icecap of the North Pole is shrinking, the one covering Antarctica -- or 92 percent of the Earth's ice -- is not, he says. Nor have Scandinavian glaciers receded, he says. To play down these differences by basing forecasts on a global average makes no sense to Allegre. Paris bookstores brim with guidebooks -- including one shaped like a toilet seat -- that tell readers how to help save our planet. Yet the dissidents refuse to shut up, even now that Al Gore has won the Nobel Peace Prize and the U.S. government has agreed to negotiate a new global-warming treaty by 2009. Exposing the Global Warming Myth! http://plancktime.blogspot.com/2007/12/gore-called-crook-by-french-education.html

POPSCanadian Muslim Teen's Dad Charged in Her Murder...... I don't want to make this too much of a blanket statement, but I believe this is where Eastern and Western cultures clash. The Judeo-Christian *traditional* sensibilities will not accept a persons *right* to kill another person. Whether for religious or cultural reasons. A "teen issue"....maybe. We all have them if we have teens. Murdering them should warrant an arrest no matter their *crimes*. The poor mother. This is pitiful.

POPSReligous Creationists The author asks an interesting question. He also implies by his question a concern for the entanglement of religion and politics.

POPSO'Reilly, the HATE that you Love to Love?! DON'T read if you love Love! The most salient issue is not that O’Reilly fancies himself a “traditionalist,” rejects the secularization of America, extols the Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation, and bemoans the perfidious culture war being propagated by the liberal Hollywood elite while simultaneously threatening to massage an employee’s tits. What’s most disturbing is that that he completely sucks at phone sex. To help Bill navigate his way past life’s many obstacles, we figured we’d give him some pointers for future producer-harassing endeavors At times during phone sex you use complicated, almost clinical terms such as “intravenously” and “modus operandi.” Avoid immature descriptions. This is key. You sound like 13 when you use phrases like “rubbing your big boobs.” Avoid misspoken or mispronounced words. A lot has been made about your falafel comment, and it was obviously a blunder, but come on. It’s a big blunder.

POPSYou Reap What You Sow What you think you create, energy is never lost only transformed etc. Even quantum physics seems to suggest there is some sort of karma. What exactly IS karma, if it exists at all? Divine retribution / reward of sorts, or just actions / reactions? Hmm...

POPSDrug 'em just do not spank 'em
Whenever we deviate from Godly principles or sound biblical wisdom our society suffers for it. Here is just another example of a society drunk on its own foolishness disregarding the obvious in favor of an anti-Christian value system. Regardless of the ill effects a public policy may have on our society those who set such policy refuse to acknowledge the failure of such policies. Their reasoning would appear to be anything but Judeo Christian values. Even though those same values, when enacted, lead to a better society they still refuse to acknowledge its benefits. Our own national history is riddled with glaring examples of the benefits of leading a Godly life in society. Yet in today's culture being "Christian" is politically incorrect and thusly forbidden. So spare the rod and drug your kids has become the acceptable manner in which we discipline our children. Excuse me but I think a good swat on the buttocks works better and swifter then Prozac. But what do I know?

POPSAbortion and "God" Does the Judeo-Christian god really not condone abortion? Or, is it alright if people make him mad? Here is a passage from the bible that says exactly how he feels about abortion. Especially, when a people rebel against him, oh then killing unborn babies is just fine with him. Pay special attention to that last line.
