POPS1945 concentration camp ww2 my first observation is- the man standing and those on the bottom look much more sickly than the ones on the top row who also have clothes- did they steal food and clothing and beat up the others? On July 24, 1944, the first major concentration camp, Majdanek, was liberated by Soviet troops. This photo was taken almost a year later, when survivors of the Buchenwald concentration camp were freed by Allied troops in April, 1945.

POPSNorthwest Indiana LakeNET Just found this site today, the blogging links are extremely weak so most of the "5,000+" links are pretty weak old version web 1.0 sites from chamber lists. They do host not for profit websites, mainly due to their funding coming from State grant. My humble opinion is that the board needs some web 2.0 talent, some people that actually engage in social media. The site is pretty but not all that useful yet.

POPSCarter and Annan to visit Zimbabwe They will travel with rights activist Graca Machel, wife of former South African president Nelson Mandela, on November 22-23 on a mission to prevent the crisis from worsening, Annan said in a statement. Annan, Carter and Machel are members of the Elders: 12 world-respected statesmen with hands-on experience in conflict resolution. The group was formed last year by Machel and Mandela on his 89th birthday.
