POPSBleak, Shallow and Repetitive Social Media:Virtual Life
Has your hyper-connected existence in social media become a depressing daily grind? Just more "work" to get done? Necessary to stay "relevant"? For many, virtual life seems increasingly less worth living. Its less about connectivity than self-branding. The author writes: Users are beginning to realize that it’s not leisure, it’s work that borders on servitude. But there’s a resistance growing among those tired of their virtual subjugation. In response to the electronic world’s rising indignation, virtual suicide sites like seppukoo.com and suicidemachine.org have started a countermovement, provoking users to kill their online selves and reclaim their real lives. These programs assist our virtual deaths by hacking into our profiles, completely annihilating our online personas and leaving no trace of our former selves behind. It’s social revolt for the online age: a mass uprising that will shatter the virtual hierarchy and restore order to our actual lives." What's your tak

POPSArchaeologist sees proof for Bible in ancient wall
The fortifications, including a monumental gatehouse and a 77-yard (70-meter) long section of an ancient wall, are located just outside the present-day walls of Jerusalem's Old City, next to the holy compound known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. According to the Old Testament, it was Solomon who built the first Jewish Temple on the site. That temple was destroyed by Babylonians, rebuilt, renovated by King Herod 2,000 years ago and then destroyed again by Roman legions in 70 A.D. The compound now houses two important Islamic buildings, the golden-capped Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque. Aren Maeir, an archaeology professor at Bar Ilan University near Tel Aviv, said he has yet to see evidence that the fortifications are as old as Mazar claims. There are remains from the 10th century in Jerusalem, he said, but proof of a strong, centralized kingdom at that time remains "tenuous." While some see the biblical account of the kingdom ...

POPSCHESSMEN by Steve Savage "King of the Beasts" In a mystical experience, 34 years ago, I saw at once, above and below the Checkered Pavement, the Chessboard that separates all life forms into their respective, fabricated, cloaked appearances - Kings and Pawns, and those ’twixt these two, yet all of the same Quintessence. The image was of a Living Energy that penetrated that Level of Squares, thereby, mystically connecting all things above and below - the Élan Vital. I beheld a tremendous slow-motion, plasmatic electro-magnetic lightning show, an arborescent display of the One Universal Life Force, Self-divided amongst its Chessmen on the Board. I was not a part of it, only a Witness. I saw, below the Board, the Life Energy Entity, the Puppeteer, as it were. He was hidden below the perceptions of the entities on stage, the Chessmen, who believed they were, and behaved as, the separate existences they were not.

POPSPiri Re'is Map Dated 1513 AD Shows Antarctica Without Ice Analysis of the map by 8 Reconnaissance Technical Squadron (SAC) (U.S. Air Force) reads as follows: The claim that the lower part of the map portrays the Princess Martha Coast of Queen Maud Land Antarctic, and the Palmer Peninsula is reasonable. We find that this is the most logical and in all probability the correct interpretation of the map. The geographical detail shown in the lower part of the map agrees very remarkably with the results of the Seismic profile made across the top of the ice cap by the Swedish-British-Norwegian Antarctic Expedition of 1949. This indicates the coastline had been mapped before it was covered by the ice-cap. The ice-cap in this region is now about a mile thick. We have no idea how the data on this map can be reconciled with the supposed state of geographical knowledge in 1513. Harold Z. Ohlmeyer Lt. Colonel, USAF Commander

POPSWho's In Charge Here?
Well, the people are closer to being on target as our founding fathers noted we have been endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights. These rights are not generated by the people any more than they are generated by our government, as Chuck Schumer would have us believe. They have been given to the people by their creator. In some ways the people have been given the right to rule their land in much the same way European monarchs believed they had been given the “divine right of kings”. Only in this case there is truth to the claim. Over the years, the people have been foolish and given up the control that was rightfully theirs, much like Esau gave up his inheritance to Jacob. Yet the concept that individual liberty is a gift from our creator has not been lost. The secular statists believe otherwise. They are convinced that the Judeo-Christian values that were the foundation of our country have outlived their usefulness and the people now need the firm hand of a strong cen

POPSSnowpocalypse! Send Help! Snowpocalypse. President Obama (sarcastically) used the term: 'Snowmageddon.' Snowmageddon is reported by the media like it's a world class disaster: Lock your doors! Please send pints of Ben and Jerry's as soon as possible. Starbucks coffee running low. The Burger Kings are closed! Help is needed. The Apocalypse is here: Snow and Rain predicted. Where can I get my parking validated? Fortunately, the media talks mainly to itself; folks tune

POPSHappy Iranian Revolution Anniversary!
It really was a great day for the free Iranian people when that cruel dictator, the foreign power supported Shah of Iran was overthrown, wasn't it. Wasn't it? It would be good if more of these Western power supported puppet governments, kings and dictatorships were washed to the sea. Of course, this is not the view of our daily spin and propaganda. We're suppose to think Iran is bad because....uh, their quest for nuclear power is evil? -- uh, their desire to operate the nuke medicine lab the USA sold them (back in the dictator's days) is evil? Or --- They are liars and in four or five years they will have a nuclear bomb and threaten us with it. Fortunately the U.S. may not be able to turn this paranoid gibberish into a real cause for war. Nor have we even started wars with everyone who has nuke weapons, no matter how dangerous, murderous and unstable we say they are. The 'policy,' that deters the use of nukes is simple: You nuke us; we nuke you. Iran is not a t

POPSThe Kebra Nagast: The Glory of the Kings I served with the Army Security Agency in Asmara, Eritrea, Ethiopia, from July 1955 to June 1958. When Haile Selassie visited our installation, Kagnew Station, I served as his personal Honor Guard. When I first viewed these photos, I was struck by the unbelievable hypnotic aura of power and presence radiated by these two Father-Son, Warrior-Priest, Philosopher Kings, whose royal lineage, the world's oldest, can trace its existence to the ancient emperors of Ethiopia, especially Menelek, son of The Queen of Sheba by Solomon.
