POPSPalin Invokes God to Justify Iraq, Pipelines. What a....Repukelican. ..no I won't say what I really think. There are women here I respect too much...But not Sarah, or Cindy McCain or Laura Bush--any woman who can cleave to men like that doesn't deserve MY respect.

POPSWhat the Non-Elite Wear You know, I think I'm wearing about fifty bucks worth of clothes right now. We liberal elitists shop at trendy little boutiques like Farm & Fleet. Real salt of the earth types wear thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and designer clothing, because they don't hate America. I'm so ashamed...

POPSGOP Plays the Gender Card Before you say this is just Laura Bush speaking for Laura Bush, consider this: I am appalled by the Obama campaign's attempts to belittle Governor Sarah Palin's experience. The facts are that Sarah Palin has made more executive decisions as a Mayor and Governor than Barack Obama has made in his life. Because of Hillary Clinton's historic run for the Presidency and the treatment she received, American women are more highly tuned than ever to recognize and decry sexism in all its forms. They will not tolerate sexist treatment of Governor Palin. - HP's former CEO Carly Fiorina and RNC fundraiser, quoted in RNC press release The McCain camp, who wanted everyone to freak out when Obama supposedly "played the race card," are now claiming that any criticism of Sarah Palin is sexist. The Republican Party; never one to shy away from blatant hypocrisy.

POPSOne American Tourist Killed Another Injured In Beijing "Our priority in this hour is to attend to the needs of the family members, the U.S. Olympic men's indoor volleyball team and staff, and the entire U.S. Olympic delegation," according to the statement from the USOC. "In addition, the USOC is working closely with the United States Embassy, United States law enforcement authorities and local law enforcement authorities." President Bush and his wife, Laura, are currently in Beijing to attend the Olympics.

POPSThe Russert Send Off I always thought he came across as sort of "milk toast." Post mortem, I could not recognize the guy these Elites were talking about.

POPSMichelle Obama : "thank-you first lady" Taking some cues Obama did not elaborate on the contents of the letter because she said Bush might not have received it yet. "But I was touched by it," Michelle Obama said. "And that's what I like about Laura Bush. You know, just calm, rational approach to these issues. And you know, I'm taking some cues. I mean, there's a balance. There's a reason why people like her. It's because she doesn't, sort of, you know, fuel the fire." At a campaign stop in February, Michelle Obama told an audience in Milwaukee: "For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country. Not just because Barack is doing well, but I think people are hungry for change."

POPSGLOBE: White House Cocaine Scandal--Bush Uses as President? Bush is a user as President! The cover story of Globe now. Remember when he "fell" while watching a football game and "choking on a pretzel" on a Sunday after 9/11 and had a big bruise near his eye? It was also published he has had fits of paranoia, and other reports said he saw ghosts coming out of the walls at the White House. Bush found the White House a "creepy place," Mr. Draper writes. After exercising in a White House gym one evening, Mr. Bush told a friend he froze in his steps while approaching the Lincoln Bedroom. Mr. Bush insists "he saw ghosts -- coming out of the wall," according to a friend. This is typical of tyrants and madmen in history--Caligula, Nero, Nebuchadnezzer, etc..

POPSTOP 20 WORST CASTING DECISIONS EVER Part I (#20 - #11) Not much to argue with the list maker in Part I. Vaughn ALMOST pulls off Bates but no one will ever be Perkins and that was sheer movie magic and acting perfection. "We all go a little crazy... sometimes." Still sends chills up my spine!

POPSDemocrat tied to Obama wins special election in Mississippi More: The special election was held to fill the seat of former Rep. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), who was appointed to serve out the remainder of Sen. Trent Lott’s term last December. Wicker had never faced a competitive race since first elected in 1994, and the district gave President Bush 62 percent of the vote in 2004. The results amount to a rebuke of the Republican strategy of trying nationalize the race by tying Childers to Sen. Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Obama held low approval ratings in the district, but the nearly $2 million that GOP groups poured into northern Mississippi failed to make the race a referendum on the national political landscape. A GOP House leadership aide told Politico last week that “if we don’t win in Mississippi, I think you are going to see a lot of people running around here looking for windows to jump out of.”

POPS15,000 Dead, 30,000 Missing After Catastrophic Myanmar Cyclone "The combination of the cyclone and the referendum within a few days of each other makes an angry population angrier and vulnerable and makes the political situation more volatile" than it has been since last year's massive pro-democracy demonstrations, said Monique Skidmore, a Myanmar expert at Australian National University. At least 31 people were killed and thousands more were detained when the military cracked down on peaceful protests in September led by Buddhist monks and democracy advocates.

POPSThe Commander-in-Chef Cooks Up a Storm "Bush: And as people are now beginning to see, Iraq is changing, democracy is beginning to take hold. And I'm convinced 50 years from now people look back and say thank God there was those who were willing to sacrifice. "Curry: But you're saying you're going to have to carry that burden... Some Americans believe that they feel they're carrying the burden because of this economy. "Bush: Yeah, well -- "Curry: They say -- they say they're suffering because of this. "Bush: I don't agree with that. "Curry: You don't agree with that? Has nothing do with the economy, the war? The spending on the war? "Bush: I don't think so. I think actually, the spending on the war might help with jobs. "Curry: Oh, yeah? "Bush: Yeah, because we're buying equipment, and people are working. I think this economy is down because we built too many houses."

POPS Media Ignore Saddam's WMD Intent When Piro's interview came out in my book, "The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to Stop the Next Attack," NBC Nightly News, Fox News, and Newsmax ran the news of Saddam's admission, but few newspapers published a story. The revelation should have hit Page One of every newspaper. According to the media spin, just about everyone in the White House has left President Bush except his wife Laura, Vice President Dick Cheney, and his two dogs. During the Clinton administration, anything that might make the president look good was quickly leaked to the press.
