Dhimmi of the Year - 2008 Nomination
ColoradoRight
by ColoradoRight  1-9-2008    1
It is early for the nominations to come in, but this just has to be noted. And why in the world would a member of the delegation request anonymity? Aren't these people proud to go over to this state of supporter of terrorism and murder and prostrate themselves in front of this little thug?

College Hate
AtlLiberal
by AtlLiberal  10-10-2007
Perhaps the better response to racist actions such as this is to ignore or ridicule them instead of giving them publicity. If this was the doings of an individual than it seems that notoriety would only encourage rather than diminish the behavior. To clarify my stance, I still think the person should be held responsible for this action. I just wonder about the news attention paid to it. I think, an argument could be made that the benefit of our knowing about this event doesn't outweigh the harm that could be caused by publicizing it.

Shabby, Cheap US Politician "Have Blood on their Hands" not Iran
righthand
by righthand  9-29-2007    20
"The claims that Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust and has called for the destruction of Israel are false. He has called for regime change, which is something American politicians do every time they find a country whose policies they disagree with. Regime change is a change of government, not genocide. As for the Holocaust, he said it raised two questions: Why put people in prison who question details of the official version, which is what several European countries do. Why should the Palestinians be made to pay for it? Both are good questions. "How American politicians can call Iran a dangerous country and claim that it poses a threat to the U.S. is a mystery. On second thought, it is not a mystery. It just tells you that the politicians think you and I are so stupid that we will fall for the exact same parade of lies and exaggerations that was used to justify the war against Iraq. "Think for yourself. Iran has no nuclear weapons, and its military is designed for defence. It has

CU Students Cry Foul-Not EnoughTime
davboz
by davboz   9-24-2007
The single comment by ANONYMOUS says it pretty well: < When you boil this all down, I guess it is really all about you. Your need of preparation, your need to schedule your rallies. When the tanks roared through Tenamen Square, how many Chinese students said "Please wait, we have not had time to prepare for the tanks. Stop the tanks we have to make signs for our rally". Uprisings all around the world will have a new battle cry. "To the barricades, but first let me finish my Frapuccino with 2 Splendas. I guess things have come a long way since the Strawberry Statement. >
