The plan was a simple one. The path to Obama’s second term requires that enough voters forget that our current economic woes are the fault of a failed President who enjoyed two years of having every single item on his wish-list passed by (Democratic Congress.) And so the idea was to create Occupy in order to give the MSM the cover they desired to spend every single day up until the election talking about greed and income inequality in order to blame both for the stagnant economy. The hope was that by repeating this message incessantly, enough voters could be convinced that Wall Street, and by extension, evil Republicans, were to blame for our chronic unemployment, record deficits, and stillborn economic growth. President Obama who? Fortunately for America, this plan has not only failed miserably it has backfired completely. POPSOCCUPIERS..THE NEW VILLAGE IDIOTS Probably not, even though Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, many extremist labor unions, the Socialist Party USA, the Communist Party USA and others on the left are singing praises of the current demonstrators. So many want to lead the occupiers. One week after the Occupy Wall Street protesters first gathered, the New York Times ran an opinion article by Michael Kazin headlined, “Whatever Happened to the American Left?” offering his guidance in left-wing movement-building. He urged the demonstrators to focus on “demanding millions of new jobs that pay a livable wage.” A fat lot of good that demand would do.

Now, who are more sacred to the left than the homeless? The homeless! They're among the most approved disadvantaged groups in the country. The leftists are the first to scream bloody murder when the homeless are roused by the cops. But when it comes to sharing their food with them, forget about it. You see, folks, if you're homeless, would you rather eat scraps from a Dumpster or if there are a bunch of people cooking spaghetti Bolognese down the street, where you gonna go? CALLER: They're worried about the violence the Tea Party will perpetuate, yet these kids are clashing with the cops on camera, and nobody is marching experts in front of the media to fret about the violence these kids could perpetuate. POPSObama ♥ OWS: "We are on their side" ... movement troubles Democratic politicians their response is to hide behind platitudes about free speech. What he means is that when a Democrat is confronted with the socialism on parade here, Democrats will not address the substance of what OWS believes, merely their right to believe it. In this manner they avoid discussing their own nuanced views on socialism. “It’s about their right to express themselves!” Well, no it’s not. Free speech is important, but it’s really not the issue. It certainly wasn’t even much of a concern when it was the Tea Party expressing itself — which it managed to do without inviting mass arrests. Back then, leading Democrats considered dissent racist or un-American. Now they celebrate free speech so they can hide from dealing with the issues at hand honestly. Democratic politicians think that this gives them cover. It doesn’t. It just shows that they’re afraid to disagree with the protesters either because they agree with them ...
