POPSRush Limbaugh's racial conspiracy theories
"Clyburn has had power, but they want to take it away from him here ... Clyburn starts to demand respect and all hell seems to break loose in the Democrat Party," Limbaugh declared. He also proposed, as you've certainly heard, that Clyburn instead be given a position "Driving Miss Nancy." Shortly thereafter, a compromise was struck: Pelosi, who is staying on as the Democrats' House leader, created a new leadership position -- assistant leader -- for Clyburn, who then withdrew from the whips' race. The new position will be the No. 3 slot on the Democratic side, allowing Clyburn to retain his current rank. In reality, there's nothing new about a deal like this. In 2006, Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid invented a third leadership position -- vice chairman of the Democratic conference -- as a way of placating Chuck Schumer, who had just overseen the party's successful campaign to win back the chamber. But Rush prefers to portray the Clyburn issue in explicitly racial terms,

POPSCongrats to Rush Limbaugh on his fourth traditional marriage
So as Newt Gingrich does while standing next to his third wife (who, as was true for Gingrich's second wife, was previously known as his "adulterous mistress"), Rush Limbaugh will now crusade for Traditional Marriage with his fourth wife (and counting) at his side. As is so often the case, the Traditional Marriage movement is led by people who discard their wives and get new, younger replacements the way most people change underwear. That's how so many Americans sit on their sofas next to their second and third spouses, with their step-children and half-siblings surrounding them, and explain -- without any recognition of the irony -- that they're against same-sex marriage because they believe the law should only recognize Traditional Marriages. And it's how Rush Limbaugh can hide from his followers that, by demanding state recognition for his fourth "marriage," he himself believes "that traditional marriage should not have privileged status."

POPSLimbaugh's living large while radio boss Clear Channel implodes Cont.... The astronomical worth of Limbaugh's eight-year pact: $400 million. The amount of money Clear Channel execs have been trying to scrimp and save this year as they lay off thousands from the struggling company: $400 million. Ironic, don't you think? Context: Clear Channel now pays Limbaugh more than NBC pays late-night ratings king Jay Leno. Who thinks Limbaugh brings in more ad revenue for Clear Channel than Leno does for NBC? FYI, The Tonight Show generates approximately $200 million annually for NBC.

POPSPresident Obama Is Driving Republicans Insane Sadly I am, once again, proven right. I predicted this same behavior here in the pages of clipmarks and the so called Right (with their clipmarks attendants) have proven me correct. Please oh please, I beg you, prove me wrong!

POPSRush Limbaugh has his grip on the GOP microphone While the GOP's star has fallen, Limbaugh's has soared. As party leaders struggle to find their voice, Limbaugh's baritone booms loud and clear three hours a day, five days a week on 600 radio stations across America. If a $400-million contract and the title of most influential talk radio personality -- as voted by industry pros -- aren't sufficient proof, consider President Obama's decision to pick a fight with him three days into his presidency.

POPSLimpbalm worried he will lose his shine! How insecure is he, or for that matter considering what has happened the last eight years, how stupid does he think we are. Altered state of conciseness does not imply alternate realities. Video at the source.
