POPSOur choices go to the core of who we are - Accounting for Taste "We consume books, movies, music, and visual art primarily to fulfill the internal emotional needs that are fundamental to our personalities. But we also make choices about art based on a desire to carve out identities for ourselves—to articulate the stories of our lives. By the same token, we look for those stories in others"

POPSFemale Sexual Dysfunction
1. Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder: "Not tonight! Every night" Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) is defined as a persistent lack of desire or absence of sexual fantasies, mood and sex stimulation. 2. Sexual Arousal Disorder: "Nothing Play Turn-On" When your body ignores listening to your mind which says "YES" to sex, it's called sexual arousal disorder (SAD). Medically speaking, SAD is defined as the persistent or recurring inability to maintain adequate genital lubrication, swelling or other responses. Vaginal lubrication is dependent on the swelling of blood vessels in the genital region, so any impediment to blood flow could potentially cause SAD. 3. Female Orgasmic Disorder: "Lack of / No Orgasm" A persistent delay in, or complete absence of, orgasm that causes the woman marked distress is called "female orgasmic disorder" (FOD). 4. Sexual Pain Disorders: Perhaps the most extreme symptoms of female sexual dissatisfaction are those associated with sexual pain d

POPSMusical training enhances integration of the senses This study shows that sensorimotor and auditory training induces cortical reorganization to a greater extent than does auditory training alone. It also shows that sensorimotor and auditory training cause more changes in the auditory cortex than auditory training alone. This phenomemon, called cross-modal plasticity, has been investigated only rarely. In 2003, the same group showed that professional trumput players have enhanced interactions between the auditory cortex and the regions of the somatosensory cortex devoted to the lip. The new study therefore provides another demonstration that the sensorimotor and auditory cortices are connected to each other.

POPSWho are Blue Star Families for Obama? We are teachers and lawyers, homemakers and small business owners. We coach soccer and volunteer in our children's schools. And at the end of the day, there is often an empty seat at our kitchen table because our loved ones are serving far from home. We are teachers and lawyers, homemakers and small business owners. We coach soccer and volunteer in our children's schools. And at the end of the day, there is often an empty seat at our kitchen table because our loved ones are serving far from home. We represent all branches of the armed services. We come from small towns, and the big city lights. We are wives, husbands, mothers and fathers. We are daughters, sons, and the entire extended family that gives support during deployments. Our backgrounds may be diverse, but we are united in the cause of service to our country. We are the Military Family.

POPSGovernment still not listening on Injured Servicemen
There is an illusion amongst civilians that Service Men get decent medical treatment. It is a myth that should be rammed down the throats of every politician and apologists for MP's. Treatment on wards can be first class. Aftercare is and always has been, none existent. When a patient is released from hospital care, treatment invariably ends. Old SBA's now openly brag abut the pain hey inflicted on out-patients. That could be funny but for the fact that many illnesses were never diagnosed properly. I know a man who contacted hepatitis in 1966, a condition that destroyed his health, which went undiagnosed until 1999, when he suffered a massive heart attack. In those day a patient was returned to Unit the instant he could walk. No after care, no constant surveillance, no real concern for a patient's well-being. If you were ill you were a malingerer, a shot of penicillin in the backside and back to duty for you Me Boy. So when you read the reply from Downing Street, just take it

POPSFannie Mae CEO to Democrats: You Are Our 'Family' and 'Conscience'
Transcript of CEO Mudd addressing the Democrats It is true that Fannie Mae has lent more money to more minorities and more underserved individuals than any single company in history. We will work hard inside our company to resolve the serious matters before us to put our house in order and to forge a new future. And all the while you will see Fannie Mae reaching out and listening to the caucus. Over a century of endeavor you have earned the reputation as the conscience of Congress. In many ways I want to tell you today you are also the conscience of Fannie Mae. Keeping us on course to serve those who need serving the most. Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 Sen. John McCain foresaw the impending Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac Mortgage Crisis more than two years before it happened, and co-sponsored legislation that would have required greater oversight of the mortgage lending entities. http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/54CCDE0C-915F-48E9-985C-51D9390F96D7/

POPSHate From Right-Wing Talk Radio Shows I could never understand why anyone would want to listen to the hateful shows on right-wing talk radio. Especially, those who proclaim that their religion keeps them on the straight and narrow. Listening to the disgusting rhetoric these Shock Jockeys spew forth creates barbarity in those who refuse to think... When minds are so full of the nonsense from the right-wing creeps, who's only objective is to make money and control the masses, they tend to wreck havoc upon the innocent. (case-in-point, the pathetic nut who went on a shooting rampage at the UU church in TN.) We are all in the same boat. We love and want peace so why look upon each other as though we are just pockets of vermin. Haven't we had enough HATE? I guess there are some who would answer NO, because they live for aversion. Here's a little advice for DITTO-HEADS, you can live in peace, it's really quite simple, just turn your damn radios off and have a nice day. :)
