POPSHomemade furniture polish I started replacing household cleansers with homemade stuff a few months ago and don’t plan on going back to the chemical soup that we have been led to believe we simply must have. To clean windows and countertops use water, vinegar, and dish detergent, for example. I just used this recipe for furniture polish yesterday and it really works. I call this the “swoosh” stretch, because you look like the Nike logo. A word of caution, since I am a doctor: A side stitch can sometimes be felt all the way up to the shoulder. But this kind of pain may signal a heart attack, especially if it is on the left side and persists after you've spent a few minutes stretching. And if you get a side stitch each time you exercise, you could also have a problem with blood flow to the intestine. So if you experience these symptoms, see a doctor!

While admitting there was no good excuse for his action, he nonetheless tries to explain: "I noticed that, when it was alive, I thought about the baboon as a thing. Now he’s dead, I’m posthumously anthropomorphising him, and that was one of the reasons I killed. I wanted to get a sense of what it might be like to kill someone, a stranger." Stop. Breathe. I note my first reaction: Excruciating execution for this guy, preferably slowly bleeding to death in front of his buddies, sounds like a good idea. Exhale. Pause. Next reaction: What the heck was he thinking? What sick person would find it perfectly acceptable to write about his urge to explore killing primates in a food column? Is he so disengaged from life and his place in it that he thinks this is witty? Educational? Cool?

At least one contemporary pathologist working for the Public Health Service thought that the amount of lung damage seen during autopsies in early deaths was too little to attribute to viral pneumonia, and that the large amounts of bloody, watery liquid in the lungs must have had some other cause… But of the many factors that might have influenced the outcome in any particular case, Dr. Starko wrote, aspirin overdose stands out for several reasons, including a confluence of historical events… The Journal of the American Medical Association suggested a dose of 1,000 milligrams every three hours, the equivalent of almost 25 standard 325-milligram aspirin tablets in 24 hours. This is about twice the daily dosage generally considered safe today… Doubling the dose given at six-hour intervals can cause a 400 percent increase in the amount of the medicine that remains in the body.

If you live east of Arizona and this proposed $3 billion coal fired plant were to be built - all of us to the east would have more coal produced pollution thrust in to your air, rain, and land, as well as lungs. The ash and mercury from Ohio coal fired plants more or less killed the once pristine lakes in New York. Be happy that you may not have this Arizona coal air to sift through you lungs and the lungs of our land.

That may have caused doctors to let down their guard against bacterial infections in flu patients. the CDC now advises doctors who suspect bacterial infections in swine flu patients to treat them with anti-flu drugs and antibiotics. The CDC report carries dramatic examples of H1N1 swine flu deaths with bacterial infections: * A 2-month-old girl, with no known underlying condition, died with pneumococcal infection after an illness of only one day. * A 9-year-old girl with no reported underlying condition died with a strep infection after an illness of six days. * A 34-year-old man with high blood pressure and obesity died with pneumococcal infection after an illness of about three days.

POPSMummy autopsy result 'was wrong' The first scientific autopsy on an ancient Egyptian mummy probably got the cause of death wrong, research suggests. By studying the thinning of the pelvic bone, he established the woman was 50-55 when she died. He also determined that she was a mother, and overweight. He then found that she had an ovarian tumour, and concluded that this - a condition he called ovarian dropsy - probably caused her death. However, the tumour has subsequently been found to be benign, and the UCL team believe the key to the woman's death was the fact that her lungs were inflamed. Tuberculosis was widespread in ancient Egypt and can cause these symptoms.
