POPSBad Mother Women have to sacrifice ambition to have children." But I think it's really important that children don't feel their parents' emotional lives depend on their success." Waldman is deluged with responses to her various books and columns and blog entries. She feels that the Internet has become "a toxic place" and that women are "more prone to ad hominem attacks than men."

POPSAxar Properties S.L. Revealed In the summer of 2006 Vanessa Kjaerulff Jensen was hired by Paula Basham, the owner of the English Estate Agency “Axar Properties” on Torrox Costa – to look after the office on a full time basis. Vanessa was promised a contract from the start but every time she asked to see her contract, Paula Basham always had an excuse for why it wasn’t ready. When Vanessa complained about the contract in the beginning of January 2008, she was immediately fired by Paula Basham. This left her with no income, no right to paid maternity leave and even worse with no legal social security for her and her then unborn baby.

POPSAustralia needs one-child policy: ex-MP Over population is the greatest threat to the survival of the human race. It doesn't just happen in poor African countries. The shortage of water and food will soon be everywhere. Kanck is the devil's advocate on this one and someone has to kick off the thinking process involved..

POPSGoogle Lost It's Mojo? Oh, No! Last year I clipped a Google Graphic and put it on one of my blogs. It was a patriotic theme that indicated Google celebrates freedom. I just thought the pic was cool, is all. The reply was surprising when someone wrote back and said the only thing Google celebrates is "Imperialism." After thinking about it I decided "yeah, so what?" - look at our Imperialist Presidency. Everything is relative. I hate to hear that the actual Google Plants have to raise prices at the daycare - but look at our economy. I use Google. It's a lionshare of my J*O*B! I am in PR - I need Google to love me, rather, my Clients. I guess it "is what it is". Any other company treating its employees badly I would be on the boycott bandwagon...but this news hits close to home. WoW - where does one separate the line between integrity and hypocrisy? Honestly, the only thing I care about is whether the "searches will suffer". Hummm -that might affect my Karma? What do you think?

POPSMaternity Leave for Students Thankfully Colorado rejected federal "abstinence only" money. I've worked with populations where teenage motherhood is endemic, and I was constantly struck by how many of the girls and women never graduated high school. When education is not seen as important, the next generation follows suit, and the next thing you know, you're a grandmother at 30. It is imperative that all of our kids, and especially our most vulnerable kids, get comprehensive sex ed, have access to safe and accesible abortion, and support if they do get pregnant and give birth to make sure they graduate high school and can go on to college. In this way cycles are broken.

POPSMaternity Leave for Pregnant Teens I can see how this would be a good thing for the mothers, but I can also see how this would be extremely controversial. But I think pregnant teens do need support, whether or not we agree with the life choices that they have made.
