POPSViewers' Perspectives...on Palin Leg Photo It's what I would expect from the European press...meaning the ridiculous shots of women tennis players during major tournaments, and what you'd see from the tabloids at the grocery counters. I guess the Reuters photographer was bored or thought he'd try a new perspective. Have we seen Michelle's ankles with young men staring up through them?

POPSLarwyn's Links: Why Oh Why Did We Kick Hillary to the Curb?
Larwyn is in the process of moving, but I was able to connect with Larwyn's link: http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/8/10/22149/9588 John Edwards' New Age Friends First, there's Newsweek reporter Jonathan Darman's new article about his relationship and many meetings with Rielle Hunter. She's very new age -- astrology, auras, energy fields, etc. He was covering Edwards in Iowa in 2006 when he met Rielle and they stayed in touch and met several times. Very strange story. Then, there's the real mystery man in all this: Bob McGovern. He's the guy who separately drove both Rielle and Edwards to the Beverly Hilton for their meet-up. Edwards told Nightline that McGovern was the one who called him that afternoon and asked for the meeting. Edwards also told Nightline that he only agreed to the meeting if McGovern would be there too. Edwards' never said how he knew Bob McGovern. So who is Bob McGovern? Apparently, a new age healer from Santa Barbara.

POPSNew World Of Warcraft Expansion Almost Ready The release of a new WoW expansion is a very big deal in the gaming world, and a huge money making opportunity for Blizzard. This one is particularly important because there is more competition than ever in the MMO space, and Blizzard needs to demonstrate that it can continue to produce content that will absorb long-time players.

POPSi4infotech software company If you have used internet, it's almost certain that you have used a search engine. With Google, Yahoo & MSN leading the pack, the number of web search engines has multiplied over the years, so has its use and quality of results. While web search engines are an obvious tool, search has entered into almost every commonly used application from media players to email apps.

POPSRaul Lifts Cuba's Computer Ban Looks like Raul's leadership is having some small effects after all. The Cuban Internet is still extremely restricted and very expensive, but more offline use could help loosen the control of Cuba's digital media.

POPSFive Reasons Clinton Could Come Back For weeks, the widespread expectation among most campaign journalists has been that the race for the Democratic nomination will, for all practical purposes, come to an end Tuesday night with a victory for Barack Obama. Given the predictive record of reporters so far this election cycle, that is by itself a good reason to believe that Hillary Rodham Clinton is headed later this evening for a game-changing comeback in Ohio and Texas. If it happens, we can think of five reasons why. Several have as much to do with the idiosyncrasies of news media psychology — and the way this influences political story lines — as they do with any tactical brilliance by Clinton’s campaign. Clinton’s operatives have been complaining for months about Obama’s unreadiness to be commander in chief and a double standard in coverage. Only in recent days have these protests started to get much traction.

POPS1by1 Since I'm at it... There are a lot of great audio players for Windows, but in this day and age of multipurpose media centers that load lots of plugins and whatnot, sometimes you just want a simple player to launch and play a track. 1by1 is that player. It's basically like Explorer for MP3s - launch window, find file directory, play file. No muss, no fuss. Add a few play modes, an easy-to-use playlist option and you're golden.
