First degree aggravated theft of lost property? Because the Authorities said it expected anyone finding something something of value to do something like check for an owner in classifieds or put out a classified ad themselves. So they find an object and an attempt to find an owner is described as a 'Universal Law' No it's a State law. While ignorance of the law is said to be no excuse, what about losing a ring. Isn't it the responsibility of the owner to be careful? These laws seem to be drafted for the sake of insurance companies, rather than the owners. Who would have a ring like that that wasn't insured. I'm sure it would have been mentioned if it wasn't.
