POPSObama, Conyers epitomize Arrogance in Pants.
Thanks Joan for posting this...The Centrist thing of Obama's was inevitable, it seems, as he panders to the sheeple. WASHINGTON -- Former White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove won't testify next week before a House committee investigating the prosecution of former Gov. Don Siegelman, despite a threat of a contempt proceeding. Rove is exerting executive privilege and declined the invitation to appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, his attorney Robert Luskin wrote to the House panel Tuesday. A lawsuit is pending in federal court in Washington over whether top White House officials can be compelled to testify before Congress, he wrote. The Judiciary Committee has been seeking Rove's testimony since April, and committee Chairman Rep. John Con- yers, D-Mich., said in a response letter sent Thursday that he was "disappointed" with Rove's decision. It seems Conyers has lost his balls somewhere...won't Impeach, when it's the only thing to stop Cheney/Bush, and

POPSMcCain Talking Himself into Knots over WWIII and the Draft NEWT GINGRICH: I believe, if you take all the countries I just listed that you've been covering, put them on a map, look at all the different connectivity; you'd have to say to yourself this is in fact World War III. LARRY KING: Senator McCain, do you agree? JOHN MCCAIN: I do to some extent. I think it's important to recognize that we have terrorist organizations which -- who are dangerous by themselves, are now being supported by radical Islamic governments, i.e., the Iranians, which makes them incredibly more dangerous because they are trained, equipped, motivated and assisted in every way by the Iranians. So that it's the Iranians that gave them the rockets that they are reigning down on Haifa as we speak. So what's the deal, Senator McCain? You going to call for a draft, or what? Or is this war in Iraq not the big deal you've made it out to be?

POPS$7 in Africa will... I can't clip the video, so please go to the main page and watch. A young mother came for help for her baby named Alikho (which means "No Hope"). She changed his name to Lelethu, which means "Jesus is our hope." Seriously, how heartbreaking that she had named her baby Alikho.

POPSTake Action to Save Whales See link...and thanks for reading and signing. It's a passion of mine because of my first hand experience of swimming with dolphins and being very close to some whales on a quiet Hawaiian morning in South Point on the Big Island. Very moving seeing a mother and calf quietly resting for over an hour while we sat quietly in our boat and watched the day unfold in awe and wonder. Such beauty needs protection from murdering whalers.

5) POLICE # 1 While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old. Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, ‘Are you a cop?’ ‘Yes,’ I answered and continued writing the report. ‘My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?’ ‘Yes, that’s right,’ I told her. ‘Well, then,’ she said as she extended her foot toward me, ‘would you please tie my shoe? ‘ (Don’t ya love that??????) 9) DEATH While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased. The minister’s son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his fa

POPSdrunk driver jailed 20 years "The collision occurred on Jan. 20, 2006, the day Yellowknee had just been released from jail. He had been drinking all day and, by 5 p.m., he was staggering around the Sawridge Truck Stop in Slave Lake, a bottle of Silk Tassel Rye tucked into his jacket, trying to hitch a ride up to Wabasca. Slave Lake is about 250 kilometres northwest of Edmonton. Minutes later, he was behind the wheel of a stolen white pickup truck, speeding out of Slave Lake on the highway with the police in pursuit, lights on, sirens blaring. He fishtailed, hit the shoulder, shot over the yellow line and slammed head-on into a black car. He killed everyone inside. Misty Chalifoux, 28, died instantly, as did two of her daughters - nine-year-old Trista Chalifoux and 13-year-old Michelle Lisk. Six-year-old daughter Larissa was airlifted to hospital. She died the next day. Yellowknee's blood alcohol level was .22 that night, nearly triple the legal limit of .08."

POPSNYPD Harasses a Photographer at Coney Island There is no law against taking pictures in public. You can even take pictures of people and only need a model release if you plan to use the photo for commercial purposes (but not for using as art).

POPSPrince Harry Visits Wales Greeted By Cheering Crowds It was a reception fit for a pop idol - and Prince Harry did his best to provide entertainment for the crowds. Hundreds of hysterical girls strained against crash barriers and burst into tears at the sight of him yesterday. Visiting Cardiff on only his second full day of solo official engagements, the 23-year- old prince looked taken aback as he stepped from his official car to hear his name being screamed.

POPSChanel No. 1 As of February 2008, film biographies of Chanel are in production, with news reports of Barbara Bobulova as the young Chanel, with Shirley McLaine portraying her in later life. There is also a film project said to star Audrey Tautou as the young Coco. Three more projects are said to be in the works: one directed by William Friedkin; one directed by Daniele Thompson; and one to star Demi Moore. During World War II, Coco was a nurse, although her post-war popularity was greatly diminished by her affair with a Nazi officer during the conflict. However, she made her comeback in 1954. Other quotes by Coco Chanel: “Success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable.” “"The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!” “Fashion fades, only style remains the same.”
