POPS9/11The Years of Shame - How the truth hurts those who wish it to stay hidden by their lies. Paul Krugman is a brave hero for exposing the shame so many of us felt during the past ten years:--- The disgrace is the responsibility of such “fake heroes” as former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and President George W. Bush, darlings of the Republican Party who “ in on the horror” for personal and political gain and drove the country apart, (Krugman) writes. As Krugman has said elsewhere, the truth is often shrill. —ARK The Huffington Post: Paul Krugman drew conservative outrage on Sunday when he wrote that the anniversary of 9/11 had become a marker of “shame” for the U.S. http://www.thethinkingblue.com/911shame.html

POPSThe Neocon Welfare State When most people think of neoconservatism, they think of foreign policy. More specifically, they define neocons by their insistence on "Hard Wilsonian," might makes right desire for aggressive war. But neoconservatism is a total package, and they know that Big Government abroad requires Big Government at home. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that neoconservatives are also strong backers of the welfare state.

POPSThe American Conservative:How Glenn Beck and Other Fox Pundits Have Distorted the Progressive Legacy
Republicans as well as Democrats have voted for welfare statism. Yet for Fox pundits somehow only the Democrats stand on the slippery slope leading to political-moral damnation. Not until Democrats had taken over the executive branch did Beck and company notice the fascist and Progressive genealogy of the federal government. Presumably those authoritarian influences were nowhere in sight as long as the GOP was riding high (Got that conservatives?) Conservatives on this site habitually parrot Glenn Beck's distortions and outright lies. Of course, not all is false, but if you make the claim that your knowledge of history is superior, well, you're not entitled to back that claim with your own facts. In this article. Glenn Beck and Fox are taken to task, the historic record is set straight, peppered attacks against Democrats abound. Pro-lifers (?) will enjoy. For Progressives and Dems: exaggerated and bigoted statements ahead, but at least he got the history right.

POPSMAY DAY 2011: Osama bin Laden Killed, or Dead Already?
Even Bush stated openly he did not care about bin Laden 6 months after 9/11, and everyone else thought he was "probably dead" too. In Dec. 2001 these news releases emerged as well. Except of course for the convenient and spurious propaganda videos annually released to perpetuate fear and the War on Terror, i.e. for "regime change" in the Middle East per the neoconservatives plan. Even besides that, the FBI stated that Bin Laden was NOT "Wanted" for 9/11, nor ever indicated such on their website Wanted poster under terrorists. Just a few things to consider from this source as you hear that his alleged body (or someone else's, who was releasing propaganda at the conflict site) was quickly disposed of at sea, which is highly suspicious. This actually might be more of a propaganda ploy in the war on terror, to see who reacts with military standing by to watch for "blow back", a way of "flushing out the terrorists" who believing the propaganda would want revenge.

POPSIraq War For Oil Well, surprise, surprise. Russell Kirk was right all along! The war in Iraq is "a war for an oilcan."

POPSWar on Libya: Neocons Push for Iraq and Kosovo 2.0, and Get It "Operation Libyan Freedom" would be too obvious. "Follow the Dots" from three very different sources and you will begin to see that we are being lied to again, with Obama playing a low-key role, as if this is an "international decision", when without the U.S. military involvement it would be absolutely nothing. (I know, France and Britain pushed for it.....publicly that is...first). But the "powers that be", including the Neoconservatives who brought us Iraq via "WMD threat", have ramped up the propaganda to make this another "necessary" war (under pretense of "no fly zone" operation only) to "defend civilians" (as if the U.S. is not the largest military instigator of "collateral damage"). And again the MSM and pro-Zionist Media are cheer leading, just like they did for Iraq (Bush) and Kosovo (Clinton) wars. Get it yet? Analyst: "This not just a no fly zone operation".

POPSIran President Addresses UN Regarding 9/11, Calls for Investigation 9/11 benefited Israel and justified middle east wars planned in advance by the neoconservatives . Ahmadinejad, who has in the past cast doubt over the U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks, called for establishment of an independent fact-finding U.N. body to probe the attacks and stop it from turning into another sacred issue where "expressing opinion about it won't be banned". He said the U.S. used the attacks as a pretext to invade Afghanistan and Iraq that led to the killing of hundreds of thousands of people

POPSKelly-Gate, Iraq-Gate Part III: Who Killed Dr. Kelly? The answer will point to the ruthless who had "motive, means, and opportunity" to do so, which points to the same cabal behind Plame-Gate (who "took out" CIA operative Valerie Plame as blow-back for her husband Ambassador Wilson's NY Times editorial destroying the neoconservative-driven propaganda about uranium for WMD from Niger by Iraq), i.e. the same Neocon-Israeli alliance and Office of Special Plans that sold the Iraq war to the American public through their gullible puppet-President George W. Bush (and to Brits by PM Tony Blair) after that "catalyzing event" --that they had also written about in their Project for New American Century "blueprint" one year previously--on Sept. 11, 2001 , by Words of Mass Deception , who were hell-bent on "fixing the intelligence around the policy" (see Downing Street Memos) to go to war--whom Dr. Kelly contradicted!

POPSNeocons on Wikileaks: Civilian Deaths No Big Deal--Not News
Writing from a new neoconservative propaganda group called (oh so appropriately) "Shadow Government", Rabbi Dov Zakheim ironically claims that Wikileaks "changes nothing" about justification for war, or the massive civilian "collateral damage", while conservatives and the Zionist media (which supports U.S. wars in the middle east) has been taking the founder of Wikileaks to task, and the Pentagon on a "man hunt" for him, for his controversial methods of protected source leaks of classified military documents to shed light on war crimes and atrocities that would otherwise never see the light of day or a page in the MSM. Actually, now even the neoconservatives can be quoted, to prove, according to Zakheim, that the information exposed is really nothing to worry about as far as being "dangerous" to U.S. military operations (because its at least 7 months old information). So which is it Zakheim? No big deal, or a big enough deal for you to have to write about?

POPSLate Sen. Byrd, Steele, Coulter Agree: Afghanistan IS a 'War of Obama's Choosing' Flashback: Democrats and Neocons have both mocked GOP Chairman Steele's recent statement. But they were also wrong about the war with Iraq. This late Senator was not. Yet in one of his last major addresses to Congress his comments (ironically, again) have been ignored. Since Obama, Biden, Pelosi and Congress recently attended his Memorial in West Virginia with fair speeches, maybe they will hear some of his last words--as if uttered from the grave still --about the Afghanistan war. They never answered him or considered it the first time. Why not now? This proves the controversy of the Afghanistan War is a valid one and should be non-partisan. Just 10 months ago Byrd challenged Obama, the Democrats and Congress, when the context was about "choosing to surge" , and he did not spare McChrystal or Petraeus either. Even Ann Coulter got one right, ripping the neocon front man, that William Kristol should resign.
