POPSJoscho Stephan & Gypsy Jazz Guitarre J. S. is a fabulous swing guitarist. Recently, I had the privilege to see him and his band at the CAAS 2009 Convention (Chet Atkins Admiration Society). He and the band were wonderful, what a great time! While he follows in the footsteps of the great Django Rhinehart, Joscho is definitely his own man, as you can hear from the two "Honeysuckle Rose" recordings.

In one draft of the script, there was apparently a Bill Shatner "Happy Birthday, I'm almost certainly dead" scene:

(CALIFORNIA) Day of Decision on Proposition 8 California's battle over same-sex marriage went before the state's highest court, with civil rights lawyers seeking to overturn a voter-approved ban on gay weddings. Hundreds of supporters and opponents gathered outside the Supreme Court in San Francisco for the hearing, which came 10 months after the court legalized gay marriage in a landmark ruling last May. That ruling was cast into doubt last November when voters passed a change to California's constitution that redefined marriage in the state as a union between a man and a woman. Supporters of same-sex marriage are seeking to have the results of the referendum, known as Proposition 8, quashed on the grounds that minority rights should not be vulnerable to a simple majority vote. The stakes in California are high – a good decision would help fortify the LGBT community against what could be some very difficult years of economic strain and scapegoating. A bad decision woul
