POPSLanguage no barrier to counting It never occurred to me that if you didn't have a word for a number, you couldn't count. Sounds like English teachers trying to muscle in on the maths crowd. I thought we used words for numbers so we could tell someone how many there are when we run out of fingers. (and toes). Perhaps some people associate numbers with words, some with pictures, perhaps even with a particular sound. Same numbers, different parts of the brain processing. Sometimes you can tell how many there are by the look on someone's face.

POPSWEP/WPA Cracking with WZCook Disclaimers aside, I bookmark utilities like this one for a number of reasons, one being my inability recall where it was that I wrote down my WEP key. (I've long since given up on actually remember the passphrase itself!) A more recent application occurred during a hotel stay during which the hotel locked down it's internet access using a passphrase due to a "malicious user", and I needed access before the phrase was distributed to the front desk IT person. As you can see, there are a fair number of legitimate uses out there, and this little app takes up very little hard drive real estate. I actually have a USB drive with "travel"-related software utilities such as this, which has saved my quite a few times.

POPSThe Dark Knight May Be Struck Down By Tropic Thunder After All It couldn't last forever. Eventually someone had to knock The Dark Knight off of the box office throne. Last weekend Pineapple Express took a crack at it (well more of a pot shot really (I know, I know, bad pun) but couldn't muster quite the cash. Now as Batman heads into his fifth weekend, attendance may have finally dwindled enough for someone to topple him.
