POPSSalad Bar Christianity This is just another example of a man-made god. Taking the parts we like from all religious practices and mixing them together to form a hodgepodge of beliefs that Jesus warned against. Jesus declared unashamedly that he was the way the truth and the life not just one of many. Man loves to remake God into their own image, changing the absolute rightness of God for a rightness that suits each individual. The salad bar analogy works good here because the tendency of people is to take what they like and leave what they do not like. Most times it is the food that is best for us that we leave on the salad bar.

POPSCircus goes Prime Time: See the pregnant man Another freak show hits TV. Oprah has normalized the Jerry Springer show. And I thought Freaks and Geeks was canceled from prime time TV. I guess I was wrong. This poor woman, man, trans gender, transsexual, mentally disturbed person needs help not applause. Our society has lots its moorings if this abnormal behavior is considered the new norm. God help us all. I really feel badly for Tracy, who was born a girl and apparently lost her way somewhere in her formative years. We need to pray for this lost soul who apparently hates herself so much that she was willing to mutilate herself in an attempt to find love she so desperately craves. What does society do? They exploit these poor souls for personal gain and aggrandizement. And to think that millions of people watch the "O" show. "O MY" might be more appropriate.

POPSMessiah In Our Midst She proclaims her husband is the sort of leader who will fix our broken souls. Those of you who thought we had a Second Amendment to keep government from fixing your soul are so 20th century. Evolve already. When asked in an interview what sin is, Obama defined it as “Being out of alignment with my values.” Apparently, the editor failed to capitalize the “M” in “My.” “I am absolutely certain,” Obama proclaimed in his victory speech, “that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs for the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal. This was the moment — this was the time — when we came together to remake this great nation ...”

POPSWhy Oprah Winfrey Left Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Church
Of course, Hamas does the same thing, and for the same reason - to cultivate an air of legitimacy while raising a crop of hatred. How admirable that concern for her money-making ambition led Oprah to leave Wright's hateful pulpit. How sad that Obama didn't recognize the danger to his political ambition. What a tragedy that neither Oprah nor Barack could recognize the destructive, bitter hatefulness that permeates this so-called house of God. Or just didn't care beyond appearances. Why Oprah Left Wright's Church Winfrey was a member of Trinity United from 1984 to 1986, and she continued to attend off and on into the early to mid-1990s. But then she stopped. A major reason—but by no means the only reason—was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. According to two sources, Winfrey was never comfortable with the tone of Wright's more incendiary sermons. Winfrey cited her fatigue with organized religion and a desire to be involved with a more inclusive ministry.

POPSIch Bin Ein Plutonian! There may be a lot of residual sympathy for the little guy. The fight would come to a crest when the candidates start comparing themselves to Pluto as the "underdog" Pluto's a dog. Get it? From there, the story could tangent off to anywhere. Is exclusion of Kuiper Belt objects akin to a prejudice? And if so, is it more like racism or sexism? If it's more like a rock then a planet, was it intelligently designed? Should we subject all celestial bodies to some sort of standardized testing system? Should it be the next destination after the Chinese beat us to Mars? Most importantly, what does Oprah think?<<
