POPSExcuses wearing thin for Obama, media pals He lost me completely when his Administration declared we were in an economic crisis then he & the Congress proceeded to sink us even deeper with irresponsible spending. The spending is in such huge amounts that there is no accountability or oversight. It's going down a black hole and our Country is going with it.

POPSA Simple Observation The war in Afghanistan has become an aimless absurdity. It began with a reason, to find Osama bin Laden. Or so we were told. Since then, he ‘may have’ moved into Pakistan. No one knows for certain. Is it really necessary to continue this seven year long bled letting against a bunch of religious extremists and druglords many of whom have safe haven in Pakistan, only for the occasional victory? Victories that soon are negated by retaliatory actions of many of the same people we are there to ‘bring into the 21st century’. Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s corrupt government skims the very drug trade that funds the indigenous forces NATO forces are fighting against and will therefore never lift a governmental finger to stop it.

POPSAmerica's Olympic Loss The Republicans are just childish brats That have never served in the arm forces , yet wave the flag of patriotism as though they earned it. Nothing but cowards and liars. And they disgust Any real American who actually fought for this country.

POPSCITIZENS FOR BETTER GOVERNMENT
"Nations richer and more powerful in their day than we are in this, have been sabotaged, defeated, enslaved. Babylon was the largest and richest nation of its time, but its lust for luxury made it an easy mark for the Medes and Persians who overran it, and divided its land and enslaved the people between them. Rome was a greater military power than we ever were, but when free bread and circuses became more important to the people than hard work and patriotism, Rome was invaded and looted by the tougher Vandals. The Incas were the most civilized, richest people in the Americas, but ruthless, better-armed invaders destroyed them as a nation, and looted everything they owned and had spent generations in creating. In every case it was the self indulgent weakness of the victim which made victory of the invader easy. Undoubtedly there were Babylonians, Romans, Incas who warned against overindulgence and weakness, who warned that each citizen is responsible for his nation, and that

POPSCynic's Dictionary samplings more: LAWYER A personal advocate hired to bend the law on behalf of a paying client; for this reason considered the most suitable background for entry into politics. HALF LIFE The span of time required for a thing to deteriorate to 50 percent of its original potency: about 24,000 years for plutonium atoms... a few centuries for great civilizations... three weeks for a hit song... four days for a child's enthusiasm over a new $90 toy... 24 hours for the fresh sense of purpose acquired at a motivational seminar... 15 minutes for the warming afterglow of a "feel-good" movie... ten seconds for a sudden impulse to shove the papers off your desk, slug the boss, and board the next plane to Tahiti.

POPSHyper-Patriotism in "Christian America" I have pride in this country. I also see its flaws and make an effort to change them. We live in a global society and holding the belief that we're somehow exceptional clouds reality to such an extent that correct decisions become increasingly difficult to adopt.

POPSIt's Not Torture (Rape) When We Do It. What I really despise, is that OUR kids are being sent to Iraq and Afghanistan to learn how to become monsters, all in the name of "patriotism" and funded by us, their parents!. What will they be like when they return home? How do we live with what we've allowed to happen? And, no, it's not OK for us to do it. Two wrongs don't make a right and the ends do not justify the means.

POPSIn The Utopian Future, There's No Room For Dissent
It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages. The first stage being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism. The result? The result you can see -- most of the people who graduated in the 60's, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can't get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli . . .

POPSPres. Andrew Jackson Warned against the Fed, a Private Central Bank This was his Veto letter for a private central Bank bill sent to him (under the guise of patriotism) on July 4th, 1832. The Fed, in principle, is precisely what he opposed, and his historic letter tells why. This is relevant because Congress is considering passing a bill to audit the Fed here and you can watch live Fri. Sept. 25th

POPSEurope’s complicity in evil "Nothing is any different under Obama. Obama has escalated war in Afghanistan; started a new war in Pakistan; tolerated or supported a military coup that overthrew the elected president of Honduras; is constructing seven new US military bases in Colombia, South America; is going forward with various military projects designed to secure US global military hegemony, such as the Prompt Global Strike initiative that intends to provide the US with the capability to strike anywhere on earth within 60 minutes; is working to destabilize the government in Iran, with military attack still on the table as an option; supports America’s new military African Command; intends to encircle Russia with US bases in former constituent parts of the Soviet Union; has suborned NATO troops as mercenaries in US wars of aggression." How should Europe react?"

POPSAbout the Sagittarius This ninth zodiac sign is ruled by the Planet Jupiter. People under this sign are highly optimistic. You'd hardly see them in gloom. Also, they are full of patriotism. No wonder many war heroes were Sagittarius.

POPS"Google this: 'Patriotism'" bing is supposedly more "family friendly" than Google. I recommend swagbucks.com. You can earn points or swagbucks when you search that can later be exchanged for swag. You don't get a buck with every search but as you use searches over time you start to build them up. The swag at their store can range from gift cards to MP3 player to tee shirts to musical instruments. They even have an area where you can swap video games with others & earn extra swagbucks. I've just started using this site so I haven't been with them long enough to rack up too many bucks but I have a friend that bought her husband an iTunes gift card for his birthday this year which was nice since money is tight at their house right now.

POPSParents upset over 'leftist propaganda' video Like most indoctrination the true message is cloaked in truisms on which we would all agree. Toward the end is when the real agenda comes through, but by that time the children are already saying 'yes' because of the good and the familiar faces of those they see making these pledges. And *they* wonder why conservatives are suspicious of Sept. 8

POPSLiberal Propaganda... For Kids! One of the few things the left is doing effectively is indoctrinating our kids. The kids watch a video like this one, then their teacher discusses it with them and asks the children to think about what they saw and contribute their own ideas.

POPSWar is not a video game During this, one of the bloodiest months in the Afghanistan war, the spots promote a somewhat comforting, if disturbingly misleading, message — and it is aimed not just at potential soldiers, but also at the public at large. For the former, the goal is reassurance. As Bush-era attempts to conflate bellicosity and patriotism were undermined by persistent body bags, military recruitment has become more challenging. In response, the Pentagon hopes to make prospective volunteers believe their tours of duty will be as safe as a night on the couch.
