POPSIranian Protesters to Obama: "You're Either With Us or With Them" "I have made it clear that the United States of America wants to move beyond this past, and seeks a relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran based upon mutual interests and mutual respect." Now the Iranian protesters know who the man is with. Since we've never had a President who favored tyranny over liberty before, this appears to be uncharted territory for not only the protesters -- but the American citizenry as well.

POPS AHIP for The Public "Option", The Musical This is much more fun and better sung than traditional protests! And given that *AHIP would benefit from a public option, I suspect Karen Ignagni hired them. It looks like it happened in the closing session of this AHIP conference on Friday although having sat in many of these conferences I do need to tell the protestors that no plotting is done in these Forums. That happens elsewhere… (AHIP AmericanHealthSolution.org) October 16, 2009 * Why AHIP needs the public option By Matthew Holt It’s been a fun week. After years of THCB explaining that neither could AHIP do genuine research nor could its venerable President open her mouth without lying, the rest of the world has caught on. I won’t rehash the blow by blow here"Jonathan Cohn is among many who’s done that already"but essentially AHIP commissioned PWC to include the half of the analysis about the Baucus bill that was favorable to them and leave the rest out.

POPSChristian Angst Notable quotes: "As a Christian I would not have liked it if they had used verses from the Quran, and if I had known about it, I probably would not have approved of them doing so," Ransom said. "The issue for us is about freedom of expression of Christianity." "But if the girls had decided to use something from the Quran, I feel in our community they would've received negative feedback." It seems pretty clear what is bothering these people. The writer of the article goes on: "Therein lies the bigger question -- is it freedom of religion for the protestors in Fort Oglethorpe or freedom of their religion? If it's just their religion, how is that constitutional?" He poses a good question. It's obvious that the citizens of N. Georgia are not worried about anyone but themselves and their particular religious sect. The N. Georgia hills are indeed beautiful. The people, not so much.

POPSApartheid Much 83. Various witnesses and experts informed the Mission of a sharp increase in the use of force by the Israeli security forces against Palestinians in the West Bank from the commencement of the Israeli operations in Gaza (Chapter XIX). A number of protestors were killed by Israeli forces during Palestinian demonstrations, including in support of the Gaza population under attack, following the beginning of the operations, and scores were injured. The level of violence employed in the West Bank during the time of the operation in Gaza, was sustained also after the end of the operation.

POPSObamaCare Supporter Bites Finger Off Elderly Man The single eyewitness account coming from a Moveon.Org blogger. Of course. So beware protestors, if you act "aggressive" -- whatever that means -- when an Obama thug decides to go through you rather than around you, there is potential for the 'side of rational logic' to go Mike Tyson on your digits. We are unable to determine if under ObamaCare's Complete Lives System this elderly man would qualify for finger-reattachment surgery.

POPSA Bad Idea Escalates I'd be rather surprised if any were using holsters with any sort of locking retention devices. The man who got the greatest amount of attention was carrying a Carbon-15 rifle with a 30-round magazine and an EOTech sight slung over his back; not the best way to retain and control your weapon in a crowd. The people on both sides were of course well within their legal rights to carry at this event. Whether or not openly carrying firearms to a political protest is intelligent is another matter entirely.

POPSHypocrite Protestors They don't know what they're even protesting about. Medicare is the single most popular and well-run government program according to polls. The scarecrow of "the government can't run anything right" is just a fake conjuration of the corporations that want to continue owning you, body and soul. Americans can't understand the sense of freedom and confidence having Universal Healthcare gives you. The concept of not getting into any financial hardship from having a serious illness or injury is foreign to most Americans, and it's a shocking shame that Corporate Healthcare has made you feel like you have to fear something like that. It's just not necessary!

POPSPresident and Congressional Democrats - Do not like Democracy in Action NBC holds back nothing in their support for Obama's position. In an article under the header "News/Politics" they ran this column, which calls the folks speaking at town hall meetings "fake" "angry" and "comical." That was just the first paragraph. The column later calls them "infamous" "yokels" and "astro-turfing wing-nuts." Again, this is under the heading "news." MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell has in interesting way of supporting Obama. While not directly questioning the sincerity of protesting Americans as does the President, Mitchell claims they "just don't know what's good for them." Not that Andrea's an elitist or anything.

POPSRay Gun--Civilian Population Control Weapon? Non-military sales contracts to be announced soon. Watch for the UK government and Homeland Security, and law enforcement be the first to purchase this new weapon. It seems to suit applications in controlling angry crowds or protestors or times of martial law. Interesting that the first sales will be non-military and commercial, isn't it? The article shows presentations for "pirate control', and the like, but these seem much more far-fetched applications for which it would be less than suitable.

POPSEx-Revolutionary Guard Denounces Crackdown But Rezaei brings added weight as a former commander of the powerful Revolutionary Guard - which has led the backlash against groups claiming widespread fraud paved the way for Ahmadinejad's re-election. In a letter to the head of Iran's judiciary, which is directly controlled by the ruling clerics, Rezaei said trials must be held for anyone linked to deadly attacks on the streets or torture of detainees. Among the dead is the son of one of Rezaei's top aides.

POPSACORN’s “Muscle for Money” does the bidding of SEIU
Muscle for Money includes multiple techniques for creating highly aggressive, organized efforts both to pressure businesses and officials to support the activists’ agenda or to discredit and intimidate opponents of their agenda, according to present and former ACORN members. SEIU has funded Muscle for Money activities in the past and continues to finance corporate shakedown efforts across the country as part of this program. SEIU locals 100 and 880 have been identified as allied organizations on ACORN’s web site. That information has since been removed from the ACORN web site, but U.S. Department of Labor LM-2 financial disclosure forms show over $600,000 in transactions between these same locals and ACORN operations in recent years. Muscle for Money has generated significant opposition within ACORN. “I don’t mind being up on a soapbox to get someone’s attention but I would much rather talk and negotiate, said Karen Inman, a Minnesota resident and former ACORN nationa

POPSThe Significance of 18th of Tir ~ July 9th
. . . . . disillusioned, but also hardened and more fearless. I have been in Iran on the 18th of Tir several times over the past eight years, and have seen firsthand that security is always heightened that day. The regime knows that in its love for anniversaries, they’ve created a volatile beast that may need taming. Through the events of the past month it’s become very clear that deep cracks within the establishment exist, and they are now visible to everyone. A group of influential clerics in Qom have gone so far as to use the imagery of loss and mourning to begin to compare the recent death of protestors to those killed in the revolution and the war with Iraq. In a statement issued on the 4th of July, they asked to save “the dignity that was earned with the blood of tens of thousands of martyrs.” While such comparisons may seem early to some observers, the authors of the letter fully understand their intentions in making such a bold proclamation.

POPSAftermath of Iran Elections Iran 'disqualifies' EU from talks Britain has denied allegations of involvement in the Iranian riots The EU is no longer qualified to take part in talks on Iran's nuclear programme, Iran's military chief says. Maj-Gen Hassan Firouzabadi, Iran's chief of staff, accused the EU of "interference" in riots which followed June's disputed presidential elections. EU states, meanwhile, are considering withdrawing their ambassadors from Iran in a growing diplomatic row. Britain proposed the step after Iran detained nine of its embassy staff last week. Eight have since been released. The BBC's European affairs correspondent Oana Lungescu says senior officials from EU capitals will discuss the request in Stockholm on Thursday. But diplomats say that Germany and Italy - Iran's biggest trading partners in the EU - oppose it, arguing that channels of dialogue with Iran should be kept open.
