POPSIt's the scapegoating, stupid: Why extreme right-wing ideology so often inspires acts of violence ndeed, the scramble among right-wing pundits to come up with some kind of decent rationale that will let them talk about Breivik -- or better yet, blame liberals or Muslims for him -- is on, as Media Matters reports. Over at Red State, a regular contributor tied Breivik's attack to the pro-choice movement and end-of-life issues. Then there's the post over at Breitbart's "Big Peace" site titled "Anders Behring Breivik: Jihadist":

POPSEyewitnesses Norwegian Shooting → Two People Shooting! Several of the youths who were on Utøya the shooting drama, told VG that they are convinced that there must have been more than one perpetrator. Why aren't we hearing this? Yet another agenda..? Think of the categorization. Our 'Great' mainstream media is already on top of that!: "Right winger, Islam critic, populist parties, nationalist, Christian fundamentalist, etc etc." Molding, scaring, propagating. What will the solution be

POPSSarah Palin's Emails Scheduled For Relase The state has informed us that it is withholding 2,353 pages. And the released documents will contain redactions Why all of this hiding? What is that favorite right-winger retort? Oh yeah, well if you don't have anything to hide ... obviously Palin has a lot to hide. Ethics? Meh. Who needs 'em? POPSONLY A PRESIDENT CAN COOL THIS LYNCH MOB Mr. Obama could even concede that he contributed to "a climate of hate" when he went a little over the top in instructing a Philadelphia fundraiser two years ago how to deal with Republicans: "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun." He could say that this was meant in jest as something Rooster Cogburn might say, expressed in the heat of a boisterous campaign rally and hardly meant to encourage anyone to actually take his Bowie knife down from the shelf and find a plump Republican to slice and dice.

POPSLiving in the Tea Republic:Right wing radio host Joyce Kaufman inspired terrorism threat The word on Joyce: Joyce Kaufman is a Puerto Rican Jew who used to be a liberal talk show host in South Florida: the right-winger used to kick her ass. So one day this Puertoricana had a freak-out-epiphany over 'press 2 for Spanish ,' (?!): she realized that she could make more money as a right-wing talk show host. So she made some calls and joined the host of crap-slingers on the road to riches at your expense. Watch the Kaufman video: crazy in action.

POPSObama's Poll Numbers Down, Imaginary Racism Up Ackerman, frequent guest on MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow Show," continued on Journolist: "What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger's and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically." This is what "racism" has come to in America. Democrats are in trouble, so they say "let's call conservatives racists." We always knew it, but the Journolist postings gave us the smoking gun. This explains why we've heard so much about Tea Partiers being "racists" lately. ....more..... by Ann Coulter http://bit.ly/bKxnzi http://townhall.com/columnists/AnnCoulter

POPSRound Up the Usual Memes! Michael Bloomberg Proves Himself to be a Fool and Should Resign Michael Bloomberg should resign from office. He has proven himself to be a fool. It is truly stunning that Bloomberg’s initial reaction to the car bomb in Times Square was to blame tea party activists, not Islamic terrorists. In Bloomberg’s own words: Bloomberg later told CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric that the suspect behind the bombing attempt could be a domestic terrorist angry at the government who acted alone. “If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Homegrown, or maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything,” he said. “There is no evidence here of a conspiracy, there is no evidence that it’s tied into anything else. It looks like an amateurish job done by at least one person,” he told Couric.

POPSThe man playing South Africa's death card Julius Malema is a chubby man-child who rose to prominence as Jacob Zuma's attack dog, threatening violence against anyone who sought to block the Zulu patriarch's rise to the state presidency. When Zuma emerged triumphant, Malema found himself in the pound seats. A poorly educated 28-year-old, he mysteriously acquired two posh houses, a fleet of cars and an obscenely expensive Breitling watch – curious accessories for a man who positions himself as champion of the poor. Malema openly professes dislike for "children of the colonialists", a term he insists is not synonymous with white people. At other times, he says he doesn't hate white people, just the quality of "whiteness". In Malema's circle, this sort of juvenile wordplay passes as intellectuality. His utterances are often buffoonish, his politics a mix of crude populism and sinister racial demagoguery

POPSJFK Maligned on The History Channel. WHY?
Please sign petition. http://stopkennedysmears.com/ History Channel was one of my favorites but no longer. Presenting this fiction as history, they have now become just another right-wing propagandist like "Fox UCALLTHATNEWS?"... it can't get any worse than that! The History Channel has now become "The UCALLTHATHISTORY? Channel". What will they attack next? School text books? Oops, the right-wing-nuts are already doing that! “Texas to revise history textbooks: liberals out, Limbaugh and Gingrich in” http://thinkprogress.org/2009/08/21/texas-history-gingrich/ If we, who worship honesty and truth just sit around and allow this to take place, the evolutionary process of the human mind will go the way of the DODO BIRD! (The dodo has been extinct since the mid-to-late 17th century. It is commonly used as the archetype of an extinct species because its extinction occurred during recorded human history, and was directly attributable to human activity.) http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Dod

POPSGood news in Taiji btw... john lilly, psychopharmacologist turned LSD-prophet who went into exile and became the founder of inter-species communications and was the focus of the 70s movie, 'day of the dolphin.' in his fabulously important late 1960s book, 'metaprogramming the human biocomputer,' he posed a thesis which has been largely accepted by the biological sciences community. called 'the 9 configurations,' he showed that the 1st config is a single-celled organism with a single command in its program and no way to change. as we come up the ladder to evermore complex organisms, we reach creatures; then creatures which can learn; then we arrive at the 9th configuration, including man, which can not only learn how to learn BUT CAN CHANGE THEIR PROGRAM, not only as a group but as individuals. lilly believed, as i and many others, that psychedelic agents can play a crucial role in the process of seeing and changing the buggy programs.

POPSBirth Cert Lunacy Continues "If Barack Obama was an Irish American or a Polish American or a German American, there would be no discussion anywhere in this country about his citizenship," radio host E. Steven Collins told Chris Matthews on Thursday, in response to his fellow guest, deranged right-winger and Nixon Watergate operative G. Gordon Liddy, whose own attempt to defend the birthers should mark a low point, even for his career. "This is because many people in this nation cannot still accept the fact that a brilliant African-American is the commander-in-chief."

POPSMust Be the Water Texas has always been an important harbinger when it comes to which textbooks are chosen for our public schools across the country. Publishers aren't willing to invest in printing costs (Texas buys a lot of books) without the rest of the nation going along. Now there's the possibility of a Christian Right-winger taking the reigns of the state education board in an already conservative state. Does this mean that Johnny will finally get to learn about Noah loading the dinosaurs on the ark in biology class? Stay tuned...

POPSDefining the World by their Prejudices Because, they believe, the shooter hated Jews, he had to be a “right-winger” because the right wing is the source for anti-Semitism in America. Such an attitude shows that while they accuse those of us on the right of living in the past, their understanding of anti-Semitism dates back at least forty years. Their views of conservatives have little to do with the reality of the conservative movement in America today, indeed, with the conservative movement as it has been evolving at least since William F. Buckely, Jr. launched the National Review in 1955. And yet, all too many in the MSM, equally clueless about the ideas undergirding American conservatism, don’t challenge them on their misunderstanding.
