POPSNobody in this election is a true "leftist" Both candidates - and nearly all American politicians - fall within a narrow band of center-rightists. Nobody in this election is even on the same side of center as socialism is - and raising the socialism alarm is pretty un-informed. Here's a graph from the primary days that explains it well. By the way, Ron Paul is not the most libertarian of the early candidates, either!

POPSAbolish the Federal Reserve --- Ron Paul from '02 (cont.)From the Great Depression, to the stagflation of the seventies, to the burst of the dotcom bubble last year, every economic downturn suffered by the country over the last 80 years can be traced to Federal Reserve policy. The Fed has followed a consistent policy of flooding the economy with easy money, leading to a misallocation of resources and an artificial "boom" followed by a recession or depression when the Fed-created bubble bursts. With a stable currency, American exporters will no longer be held hostage to an erratic monetary policy. Stabilizing the currency will also give Americans new incentives to save as they will no longer have to fear inflation eroding their savings. Those members concerned about increasing America's exports or the low rate of savings should be enthusiastic supporters of this legislation.

POPSOct 14 , 2008 - Blossom Goodchild, Project Blue Beam at Ron Paul's site Read also the Project Blue books site and then follow through to Blossom Goodchild's material so you won't miss anything should you see something in the sky you can't explain. I hazzard to advice that after reading the 2 articles in detail you still have to make up your own mind - it is not so straight forward. That is the least you can do for now.

POPSPresidential Candidate AGAINST the $700 Billion Bailout I understand people need money to live, but they need real money not more paper money made out of thin air. American's need leaders that can help them understand our Constitution and what real money is and how it can turn our country around. Baldwin was endorsed by Ron Paul on Sept 22. Although Baldwin is a pastor, he has consistently and rightfully spoken out against Bush and Congress. Check the party platform. Watch the video. Then decide.

POPSRep. Ron Paul speech before Bail-out vote Some far sited economists have been saying for years that the artificial economic bubble will break, with results possibly worse than the Great Depression. Interesting comments by Dr. Paul.

POPSAmerica : Freedom to Fascism Now it makes sense , all the little pieces come together ! Now I know why the tried to discredit Sen. Ron Paul and make him look like a nut .

POPSRon Paul and Why the Bailout Should Make You Afraid, Very Afraid I keep reading about how the alternative to the bailout would be much worse. I keep hearing this “we are helping main street” narrative from the supporters of the bailout. To me this is hogwash. Ron Paul said it best yesterday on CNN when he said that without the bailout we’d “have a bad year” but with the bailouts it “will be a bad decade”. I’m afraid, very afraid that Ron Paul is right again.

POPSAlliance Against Two Party Control (cont.)Calling together candidates from the liberal, conservative, libertarian and progressive constituencies, who are all opposed to this rigged process, was designed to alert the American people to the uselessness of continuing to support a process that a claims that one’s only choice is to choose the lesser of two evils and reject a principle vote that might challenge the status quo as a wasted vote. In both political education and organization, coalitions are worthwhile and necessary to have an impact. “Talking to the choir” alone achieves little. I have always approached political and economic education with a “missionary” zeal by inviting any group in on issues we agree upon.

POPSAmerica Needs the Voice of Ron Paul We have some serious problems in America. They are more serious than ever before. If we expect the government to fix them for us, they will only get worse. This election should be about gaining more freedom, instead it is about who can give us more government. I'm just very sad for our country.

POPSSolid Praise of Ron Paul I am not a fan of Pat Buchannan. But he is right about Ron Paul. Few Republicans have had the courage to stand up for this man of honor and ideological honesty. We probably have not heard the last from Dr. Paul - we can only hope the younger generation will pick up th torch he is passing!

POPSIn 2002 (!!!!) An Attempt to Save The Coming Market Crisis Was Made Mr. Speaker, it is time for Congress to act to remove taxpayer support from the housing GSEs before the bubble bursts and taxpayers are once again forced to bail out investors misled by foolish government interference in the market. I therefore hope my colleagues will stand up for American taxpayers and investors by cosponsoring the Free Housing Market Enhancement Act.

POPSAndrew Sullivan: Former McCain supporter A guy who supported Ron Paul this year and McCain in 2000 has this to say...."I've chatted with him and spent time with him and always admired him. No More. His actions and words of the last month have been despicable." WOW!!

POPSThe Bush Doctrine: Preventive, Not Pre-emptive War While Krauthammer (neoconservative columnist) desperately covers for Palin in the aftermath of the ABC Gibson interview Robert Schlesinger gets it right. Palin and Gibson were both wrong, and Palin not even close. His playground analogy makes it clear and that the neocons have confused "pre-emptive war" with "preventive" demonstrates the difference between just and unjust war. For the record, Charles Gibson didn't get the Bush Doctrine right either. But at least, unlike Sarah Palin, he had an idea of what he was talking about (a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy for the last six years). Read the full article. Recall Ron Paul's excellent line in the republican debates about America's greatest moral problem: "We in the past have always declared war in the defense of our liberties or go to aid of somebody... But now we have accepted the principle of preemptive war — we have rejected the Just War theory of Christianity. [/q

POPSRon Paul Urges Third-Party Vote, Refuses to Endorse McCain Now this is a "maverick" and a "reformer", refusing to endorse the Rino McCain of his same party despite that he has an (R) after his name. If anyone wants to stop the entire phony "war on terrorism", retrieve our liberties and restore Constitutional government, and rein in big government spending (including for unjust wars)--which causes inflation thru dollar devaluation-- the only choice is to vote third party. If everyone voted their conscience, refusing to be bullied into supporting the major two parties, change could then happen. The media drives everyone to support either R or D, so nothing ever changes. Obama openly stated he is for the "war on terrorism", in Afghanistan, and even to attack within Pakistan, like Bush and McCain. Pray tell, what is the difference and "change" then!
