Major Malik Nadal Hasan.......But First A “Shout Out” to Obama’s Bud
merrie
by merrie  11-5-2009    19
No reason I can’t go golfing, shoot some hoops, and hit the town with Michelle. President Bush used to break into tears when addressing soldiers and was reviled as a stone-hearted warmonger; Donald Rumsfeld was demonized for using a machine to sign notification letters to fallen soldiers’s next-of-kin. President Obama gives out rounds of virtual fist-bumps to his buds before even mentioning a slaughter of American soldiers, perpetrated by Americans, in mid-America. We desperately need an adult in the White House. Sadly, today’s press conference proves we do not have one. (Incidentally, the shooter " who killed 12 people with two handguns " is reportedly an adherent of the Religion of Peace who was incensed about being sent to war.)

8 Years Later--Osama bin Laden, Dead or Alive?
blueridge
by blueridge  9-10-2009    2
This book challenges the entire foundation of the Afghanistan war as a "war on terrorism". Can they really "not find" him? Or perhaps the real reason is here. Even FOX News reported in December 2001, Bin Laden Already Dead Only propaganda and alleged tapes have kept him "alive", but unfound, the perfect phantom enemy for perpetual war.

False "terror alerts" for poltical reasons
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  8-20-2009    1
It's truly a full-time job keeping up with the mendacity of the warmongers...who now spread racist lies to try and get back in power. This clip, no surprise except for the fact that it's documented...but the Bush Administration, hoping to win the 2004 elections, wanted to get the "terror alert," raised. The more you can make people fear the more they go along with war and hate programs. So..false wars based on deliberate lies....now false "terror alerts," trying to win elections (vs. there not even being a real threat). The Republican party needs to be driven into extinction, defeated again and again and no support for their lies, smear or hate campaigns should be supported. Support the opposite.

"Bush's Shocking Biblical Prophecy"
cakebelly
by cakebelly  8-11-2009    3
more: "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them." Bush believed the time had now come for that battle, telling Chirac: "This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people's enemies before a New Age begins". The story of the conversation emerged only because the Elyse Palace, baffled by Bush's words, sought advice from Thomas Romer, a professor of theology at the University of Lausanne. Four years later, Romer gave an account in the September 2007 issue of the university's review, Allez savoir. The article apparently went unnoticed, although it was referred to in a French newspaper.

Reports Signal White House Interest in Expanded Detention Powers
merrie
by merrie  8-8-2009    1
Obama May Seek Authority Outlined by AG Mukasey In attempting to answer that question a year ago today, Michael Mukasey, in a speech delivered to the American Enterprise Institute, said that Congress should: acknowledge again and explicitly that this Nation remains engaged in an armed conflict with al Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated organizations, who have already proclaimed themselves at war with us and who are dedicated to the slaughter of Americans"soldiers and civilians alike. In order for us to prevail in that conflict, Congress should reaffirm that for the duration of the conflict the United States may detain as enemy combatants those who have engaged in hostilities or purposefully supported al Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated organizations. Today, Obama " or at least members of his administration " appear to want something very similar.

Torture is always wrong

"That's right; sodomy. Forcible anal penetration. The documentation of this and other forms of sexual humiliation is too extensive to be denied or pawned off on a couple of redneck privates. And we know now that sexual humiliation techniques were among those discussed and approved by the National Security Principals Committee, a White House group including Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, George Tenet and John "History will not judge this kindly" Ashcroft. I don't want to come off as minimizing the horror of controlled drowning. It's just that there's something about anal rape that brings the torture issue into sharp focus. Just once, I'd like to hear one of these American Enterprise Institute psychos, the ones that always trot out to defend the neocons' freakish obsessions, have to defend shoving a flashlight up a guy's ass. I want to hear Frank Gaffney or Jonah Goldberg tell me why I shouldn't be fucking mortified that raping prisoners was considere

Ex-Powell Aide Suggests CIA Assassination Program Was Active
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  7-15-2009    2
Historically, it’s presidents that take the fall when the CIA lies to Congress. Wilkerson says it’s unprecedented for a vice president to fill that role as Cheney appears to have done. They should ALL take the fall. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and anyone else involved, and the CIA should be banned. Why is this organization even allowed to exist? They are a government-sponsored terrorist organization, pure and simple. If ANY other country had sent people to the US and started assassinating people, (the WRONG people, even), what do you think the American response would be? Hmm? There's a video at the source.

Bush more Catholic than Kennedy http://thesop.org/index.php?article=12307 ------------ America becomes a natural ally of the Vatican. "The United States works with the Holy See on a huge number of issues: trafficking, aid, development," says George Weigel, author of the award-winning biography of the late Pope John Paul II. Weigel reminds that during his first term, President Bush met with the Polish pontiff three times.

Rumsfeld: Mixing God with Intelligence and Bush???!!!! OMG
ratcatcher2
by ratcatcher2  5-18-2009    2
One of the images was from March 31, 2003, showing a US tank roaring through the desert about 10 days after the US invaded Iraq to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein. Over the image was printed a verse from Ephesians: "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." The report by Robert Draper, who wrote a well-received book about Bush called "Dead Certain," also detailed the frustration and occasional fury of former officials who said Rumsfeld constantly undermined the president's goals. Draper said: "Rumsfeld impaired administration performance on a host of matters extending well beyond Iraq to impact America's relations with other nations, the safety of our troops, and the response to Hurricane Katrina."
