I think it's good to overcome apartheid and racism. The way CNN haedlines and covers the story about a "Mandela Holiday," is so sicko, oppressive and destructive of hopeful, positive change that is most tempting to ignore it....like one would ignore stepping in a pile of dog "pooh." But we need to realize the oppressive, damping propaganda we are subject to, CNN on a world scale -- like CNN keeps talking about Iran wanting nuclear weapons when all Iran is doing, in according with UN guidelines, is developing nuclear power (Note: Israel has the illegal nuclear weapons). The idea of someone being old at age 91 is not news, yet this is how they cover "Mandela Day." Besides pushing for war with Iran CNN promotes the rest of the Zionist extremist agenda -- Palestinians and their issues are ignored or get negative, disparaging coverage. Starting out from the getgo, a sock to the jaw of about disunity, a speech that started about Barack Obama, a proud supporter about Barack Obama. Then a lot about her, some about George Bush, twist will it all back to get her supporters to recognize that their goals are now best served by Barack Obama. Then Michelle, then Biden, then several key, strongest hits against John McCain we've heard at this convention and finally tying it all back together. I don't know how it could have been better.

POPSPatch Adams hospital - Gesundheit - still not built but such an answer for community based services There will be 30,000 square feet devoted to the arts in a fully arts-centered hospital. There will be a school for social change and in-depth agricultural programs. Staff persons who've served for four years and want a little distance from the intensity of the hospital can create their fantasy living space in our village. I want to tell all readers that the journey has been heavenly all along the way. Simply being in an idealist quest is its own reward. I've never felt I've sacrificed anything or thought it was a hard journey. Hard would have been having to work in corporate medicine and lie to patients and myself every day. My concern for humanity's future drives me to want to put whatever efforts I can to changing everything that hurts people and nature. The Gesundheit! Institute is that for me, and so many others.

POPSRaised On Hate As one listens to his conservative radio talk personality, one is moved to question whether it's his true self, not because Savage isn't consistent in his views, but because the views are so grotesque it's difficult to believe that anyone-let alone a former beatnik-could espouse them with a straight face. While it's more than passing strange for a homophobic, conservative radio host to work out of San Francisco, Savage continues to broadcast nationally from his base in the city he likes to call "San Fran Sicko. In his book The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Borders, Language and Culture, he writes, "I was raised on neglect, anger, and hate. I was raised the old-fashioned way."

POPSA Few Things Moore Forgot in Sicko Michael Moore forgot to mention what the United States does have that other countries do not: A Declaration of Independence. A Constitution. A Bill of Rights. The concepts of individual rights, personal choice, free markets, private investment that develops most of the world's new medications, and the benefit of a private relationship between physicians and their patients without third-party interference. In his hymn to every other nation's superiority to America—in proportion to their commitment to collectivism—Michael Moore forgot to mention any American values at all.
