POPSSometimes, you just have to share a SINFEST comic Incidentally, for the first time, I tried using Amplify for this clip. Amplify sucks; the autopost to Clipmarks feature doesn't even work. Too much you have to tweak, select and adjust, just to make a post. I'm sticking with Clipmarks.

POPSKnowledge... of Good and Evil
While there's always a good reason to post a Sinfest comic, it does bring up a pet peeve of mine. I'm not going to insist that people take the accounts in Genesis as literal reality, in fact, I'm quite sure that they're just an amalgam of early Israelite myths. But it brings out a pet peeve that atheists have used to try to disparage Christianity. In Genesis, the forbidden fruit imparts the Knowledge of Good and Evil, not just knowledge. Christianity isn't anti-knowledge or anti-science; many of the best-known scholars and scientists of history were Christians. In fact, one of the few things that we need to credit Catholicsm for is keeping knowledge alive during the Dark Ages. But it needs to be said; the one thing that God wanted to protect Adam and Eve from was awareness of whether their actions were "good" or "evil"; that is the message of that story/myth; that we, as humans, decided to live in a world of both good and evil, and it is our burden to deal with it.
